Excerpt: After performing well about a year (over the warranty period) my Xperia z has developped a large number of problems. Responsiveness has fallen from the roof. On touching the screen, it takes up to 3 or 4 seconds for the phone to react, as if periodically frozen. Same goes for the camera, don't expect to take a picture in less than 20 secondes.
Cons: Response time, Connectivity, Speakers, Battery
Summary: The phone itself was great, but did not work with T-Mobile. It only connected to 2G and there was nothing T-Mobile could do to make it connect to 4G/ LTE. Make sure the LTE bands of your carrier are compatible with this phone. Seller would deduct 20-50% for restocking fee if I returned it.
Summary: The phone istelf is great. Screen, features. Love it. However, i too have had this for four months and the micro usb charger connection broke off into the charging cord. As i researched repair options, i have noticed quite a large amount of posts regarding this issue. Not sure what is going to happen with the service people, but this is a pretty serious deficiency that should be adddressed by Sony. Unless you plan on exclusively using a docking cradle....
Excerpt: Let me start with the pro, well the premium feel of the phone is quite unique especially with the glass material of the rear but @ the same time the rectangular shape makes it very uncomfortable to hold or type with thereby making it look bulky when held compared with other rivals like s4 & htc one Then comes the greatest con of the device it's display, the display is so poor that you could barely read or see HD photos properly, the display could be compared to the samsung...
Summary: Just got it. Switched from my Galaxy Note 2...it's smaller but not that much so. The screen is High Definition but it's a bit washed out. It charges very quickly but the battery life is not good. GPS starts up very quickly for Navigation unlock my GSII. The phone is beautiful...very distinct. I don't like how you can see the gridlines of the touchscreen in certain lighting (can't on my GSII).
Summary: WOW I never realized how spoiled I was by Apple and pretty much every other major manufacturer that offer advance device replacement till I had to wait over 2 weeks for my Xperia phone to be repaired. Is this the 1990's? Felt like I was sending in my Sony DiskMan for repair. Never buy a device with a 20th Century repair policy. Not worth it! Sony's old fashioned repair policies negate almost every good aspect of the phone.
