Summary: The Sony Xperia SP is a really solid phone that doesn't break the bank. It runs smoothly, comes with neat Sony exclusive features (Walkman music player etc.), has a nice screen and the overall phone design is really attractive. If you are thinking about getting this phone, go for it!
Summary: But, the battery is for 3 & 4 hours max with phone calls about 4min each. !!!!! The zoom is too sensible and the front camera is I think cheap quality. The large screen is great for internet and the sound is good.
Excerpt: Update - just upgraded to the latest firmware and android - it took a while, but the results are great - the screen is sharper and it vibrates properly - so far I have not experienced the problems described below.
Excerpt: I am something of a technophobe so this won't be a hi-tech review. I was reluctant at first to choose the android phone as in the past I've had Blackberry's, which are great phones, and wasn't sure how I'd get on with a touchscreen keyboard. I needn't have worried. This is a great everyday phone. It probably does far more than I will ever realise but the features I do use are spot on for me. The camera, although a little slow, produces great quality pictures.
Summary: GOOD: Doesn't feel heavy, has a nice balanced weight to it. Lovely screen, good resolution. Overall performance good. SD card slot. BAD: Needs a case, but this is not much of an issue, there are lots of nice cases out there. Chrome browser, I hate it. It's messy and you can't set a homepage, however, there are other browsers, so again not really an issue. The small hole at the bottom of the phone gets dirt stuck in it.
great phone, minor niggles downgrade it from 5 to 4

Summary: after having a samsung galaxy s2 for a while I thought it was time for an upgrade, so after checking out the array of smartphones within my price range I came across this little number, so I went ahead and bought it. intitial thoughts - the phone was very good looking, the heavy weight felt nice in the hand as it felt well made and well built, the phone was also quite big which isn't usually expected within the mid-range market.
