Sony Xperia neo L review: Blast from the past

GSM Arena
11 August 2012
  • Conclusion: The Sony Xperia neo L is a decent phone (though the build quality fails to impress ) that showed up late to the party. It's clearly an old design from the Sony Ericsson era - and those phones were a bit behind the times to begin with. The biggest weapons that the neo L has in its arsenal are its screen and OS - 4" WVGA and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich are a pretty good combo, plus there's a decent still camera, good web browsing and expandable memory.
  • Pros: Quad-band GSM /GPRS/EDGE support, 3G with 7.2 Mbps HSDPA and 5.76 Mbps HSUPA, 4" 16M-color capacitive LED-backlit LCD touchscreen of WVGA resolution (480 x 800 pixels), Android OS v4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, 1 GHz Scorpion CPU, Adreno 205 GPU, 512 MB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 chipset, 5 MP autofocus camera, LED flash, geo-tagging, 3D Sweep Panorama, 720p video @ 30fps with continuous autofocus and stereo sound, Front facing VGA camera, video chat (Google, Skype)...
  • Cons: Display has poor viewing angles, Very limited video codec support, No HDMI port as on the older neo models, No FM radio as on the older neo models, No hardware camera shutter key as on the older neo models, Memory card slot under the battery

Sony Xperia Neo L Review

YugaTech
24 July 2012
  • Summary: I can definitely say that the Sony Xperia L is a good smartphone that can get things donne. Performance wise, it works really well. I did expect some lags but didn't encounter anything noticeable. Even without the Bravia Engine the IPS display will suffice, just don't put under direct sunlight.

  • Summary: The latest in Sony’s Xperia range is the Sony XPERIA Neo L, which is an upgrade to the Neo V. It is slightly slimmer than its predecessor and unlike most other devices in Sony’s kitty, comes with Ice Cream Sandwich Android OS. Looks: Hello, good looking! We have seen a flurry of good-looking phones from Sony, and the new entrant to their Neo series is easy on the eye as well. It is similar to the older Neo models, yet is modern.
