A disappointment...

ZebraP, Phone Arena
3 September 2013
  • Excerpt: I've had trouble with this phone for months, and I would not recommend it to anyone else. In the start, December 2012 - January 2013, I didn't have a single issue, but after then, a lot things've happened; the lock button has become so sticky it's almost impossible to unlock the phone, the phone is laggy, has too little space+ram and the phone has way to many bugs. I've experienced multiple restarts - with +60% battery - even when just receiving a call!
  • Pros: Reception (w/o FM Radio), The look., Software-look.
  • Cons: Tendency to get sticky lock-button., Software bugs., Too little memory/RAM., Random shutdowns/restarts., Slowness.

a shocker of a phone.

BillZ, Phone Arena

  • Excerpt: do yourself a favour and look somewhere for a phone. i had a sony phone about 15 years ago and it was also a waste of space. the salesman convinced methat the sony xperia j was the best value for money in early 2013, so i went against my gut feel and bought one. the keyboard seems to be over sensitive.
  • Pros: none.
  • Cons: too many to list,

A very expensive alarm clock

Moonkeh, Amazon
15 June 2014
  • Summary: It's a good alarm clock, takes the odd photo and the sound is quite good, but that's as far as it goes. It has spontaneously deleted all my contacts. It has spontaneously deleted my photo album. It turns my typing to seemingly random letters. It has a screen as stable as an earthquake. It appears to disregard most options selected and does what it wants to anyway.

  • Excerpt: Absolute rubbish. This is the last time I buy any Sony product, if this rubbish phone has the Sony name on it, they should be ashamed. Wonder why Sony was a yesterday brand.

not pleased

Samuel, Amazon
1 April 2014
  • Summary: I ordered from the new and used section - in itself rather risky if I'm honest. What i recieved was not the xperia j, but another model (probably older) in what I consider to be a bad condition. In future whoever decides to sell this cr*p should do their research and sell it correctly in future.

  • Summary: Awful phone. Really slow to access anything. Cannot install many apps due to insufficient storage. Very frustrating piece of kit.

absolute waste AVOID

Mr. L. B. MASON, Amazon
3 March 2014
  • Summary: This has quite possibly got to be the worst phone I have ever bought. Stay well clear! I'll start with the good as there aren't many. ... The sound quality isn't that bad all round, music is played loudly and calls are crystal clear. That's it. The format of finding your way around the phone is extremely difficult. I consider myself a techno wizz and I struggled.
