Summary: It's a nice "first" android phone for me, many because I haven't used any "good" smart phone before.
Pros: Great User Base, Easy to Root this phone and store apps to the MicroSD card, eliminating the low memory problem. After installing a nice app to control gps, backlight, wifi, ... power consumption is barely acceptable. A nice "Kill All" app is a must to reduce RAM usage when changing gears on this...
Cons: Sony has already shutdown the Sony Sync website, yet leaves the Sync software on the phone. Much of the useless software cannot be taken off. I have T-mobile, and made the mistake of loading T-mobile Apps which killed the phone. I had to reset everything because the T-mobile app is not nice and m...
Excerpt: I guess X8 is pretty good now with the rom i used. Stock rom not interesting at all. By the way, it still the best for me cause this is my first android phone I have. I had many experience with this phone and I discover all its function.
Summary: I bought this phone because it was one of the cheapest unblocked Android phones available. It works well enough, except for the touch screen witch is not multitouch and not precise enough. Maybe it's too small or something but it's almost impossible to type on it on the vertical position.
Summary: I purchase this for my wife. Come with what it been advertised. Those who don't need the latest function in the market, and you can't beat it for this price. Suppose to be a 4 star phone, just because sometimes the call will be drops. ( still not sure my iphone or this phone.
Summary: get extended warranty for this phone and deal with the warranty company!!!
Pros: compact, android, unlocked. works flawlessly on ATT network
Cons: I rma'd my phone due a faulty touchscreen. Sony Ericsson RMA center has now had my phone for 4 months and its "waiting for parts". They said its a grey market phone not for US and they shouldn't have accepted the RMA, and not equipped to repair the phone. "Really?" They also said NewEgg was not a...
Summary: It's official, no 2.2 update for SE Xperia family phones. This is a bad decision and really disappointing. So please avoid this phone if you want latest features of Android. Sony Ericsson is not smart.
OK phone.....Will have to wait till Android 2.2 (yes 2.2)

Summary: Got it with the BF special for less than $190. It's difficult to say if its just the Android OS that 'sucks' or the phone. Yes, the iphone is more 'organized and consistent', but I'm not into paying an arm and a leg to be committed for 2 yrs.
Pros: Wifi, A-GPS, Android marketplace, no long term contract, and size. So far ATT thinks its a messaging phone so you can theoretically have unlimited web/data with the family plan for like ten bucks. Or fifteen without family plan. Yes, micro USB sync and charge (not sure why they even bother to put...
Cons: It's white, a little girl said to me, 'white is for girls'. Yes, I'm a dude. No voice dialing - which I found out has to do with Android. Even Android 2.1 does not have voice dialing. Meaning, if you have a bluetooth headset, you still have to take you phone out and dial the number on the phone d...
Excerpt: I've had this phone since December 2011. After the first 6 months it started to deteriorate ,apps would delete themselves and the phone really wasn't good value for money. If someone is attracted to this phone because of the price i'd say you're better off investing in something cheaper
The X8 is a good alrounder, but if you want something faster its not for you.

Excerpt: I have always been a fan of Sony Ericsson phones, so when time came to upgrade last year it was only natural for me to choose another Sony Ericsson. What I really wanted was a Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro, what I ended up with was the X8 as I was informed that 3, my contract provider no longer did...
Summary: I had one of these last year, it was, let's just say, cheap for a reason. It was slow, stuck on an old version of Android, and the Sony Ericsson software just made the experience even worse. Typing on it was difficult due to the small screen and it just wasn't good at much.
