Excerpt: overall the x8 is a good low-end phone but it lacks. now it's aging since it has been released over three years ago... processor and memory are very poor and phone is not very unibody since it fells and the battery cover comes out
Pros: very portable and affordable
Cons: small display, low internet quality, low memory, sound during calls is weak
Summary: I purchased this phone early in the year and only a few months later have difficulty using it. It shuts off without warning even when charged. I cannot get MMS text messages and tried downloading the upgrade to receive them however it was not successful.
Summary: I started using the Magenta/Pink shell to flaunt the fact that I did have a cheap phone; using the white or even the blue shell just seemed to be putting on airs of respectability.
Pros: The components all function well. The small size is very handy. I like the radio much better than the radio on a digital Sony walkman I got last year.
Cons: The phone is a nightmare to hang up -- I quickly upgraded Android from 1.6 to 2.1, and then I discovered that there is no way to end a phone call. In 1.6 the top button had done that job, but in 2.1 there is no button that does it. The screen goes dark, and there is nothing to tap or press or pok...
Summary: I have a window mobile before this and I have an ipod touch. Never had such bad experiences
Pros: It's light and good looking. The call quality is better than my old phone
Cons: 1. So many stupid useless app you can't remove. They have a timer and a stop watch. Several app for navigation purpose. Stupid games you can't remove if you don't want it. 2. Battery sucks a lot. 3. the interface is inconvenient for me. Making call and contact are two different 'app', so you have...
Summary: Don't waste your money on yesterday's technology. Go with hardware designed for Android 2.1 from a manufacturer on the technology forefront, not a follower like Sony Ericsson.
Pros: Good looking solid mechanics.
Cons: Android 1.6. Current offering from most other manufacturers is Android 2.1. Many of the current Android application will not run on 1.6. Processor (MSM7227) is slow @ 600Mhz by todays standards (>=1Ghz). Sony Ericsson had to make too many software mods to get Android to function properly with the...
Summary: I have been very disappointed with this phone. After only a week of using it the contacts section has stopped working and so this has rendered the phone useless. It is a very cheap quality and not what you would expect from Sony Ericsson.
Summary: I've taken a rather unusal step and decided to write a review after my x8 died a rather nasty death. I would never lie to you, it was love at first sight with the x8! It was gleaming white, glittery, cute and little. It was all I ever wanted from a phone. Initial nigglings: The camera SUCKED!
Summary: This phone is prob the worst phone i've ever owned. Like i said txting is impossible, and i dont want to spend extra money on a keypad app, i want the one on the phone to work. No flash on camera, no zoom, camera crap in general. No Sound EQ, no light, battery sometimes lasts less than a day.
Pros: The signal reception is amazing, Decent Loudspeaker, touch screen quite good
Cons: Everything else. I have never ever found it so hard to txt on a phone, even after 2 months!
Summary: I owened one of these phones for two months, I was delighted when by mistake i left it on top of my car and drove off. I found it unresponsive ,the touch screen needed a firm tap to work at all. I avoided sending texts because it took so long to draft them.
