Sony Ericsson Xperia X1

PC Magazine
5 September 2009
  • Conclusion: The super-luxe Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 would be a decent Windows Mobile smartphone choice if it were half the price.
  • Pros: Powerful processor. New Panel interface is the best Windows Mobile home-screen hack so far. Opera browser.
  • Cons: Insanely expensive. Buggy. Not a great voice phone.

  • Excerpt: Well here’s the review finally! Before I start, here's a little note. I’m sure there are some out there who have already got the phone and may have had a different experience, so just to make things clear, this review has been conducted using a test piece provided by Sony Ericsson and all findings are purely based on this handset. It’s quite possible that a band new box packed device could fare a little differently.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X1

LAPTOP Magazine
19 November 2008
  • Summary: The Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 looks stunning, and we appreciate what Sony is doing with its unique panel interface. But it’s certainly not $600 better than the HTC Touch Pro from Sprint or the AT&T Fuze. Like the X1, both of those devices offer full QWERTY keyboards, Windows Mobile 6.1, a touchscreen, and 3.2-MP camera with flash.
  • Pros: Beautiful industrial design, Innovative user interface, Clear call quality, Good camera,
  • Cons: Very expensive, X Panels slow to load, Paltry amount of X Panel add-ins, Lackluster keyboard,

Sony Ericsson Xperia X1

  • Summary: The X1's good looks and strong hardware are hampered by frequent performance lag, an unintuitive user experience and its jaw-dropping price tag.
  • Pros: Sharp, business-like design, Arc Slider and QWERTY keyboard, Full range of connectivity, Hi-res display
  • Cons: Frequent lag spikes, Average battery life, Most available Xperia Panels are poorly designed

Sony Ericsson Xperia X1

  • Conclusion: Der Weisheit letzter Schluss ist das Xperia definitiv nicht und Jimi Hendrix würde hier nach seinem Lied "are you experienced" sicherlich nur den Kopf schütteln.
