Okay phone but terrible customer service
15 July 2014
Summary: I bought this phone to use abroad. I had it for less than two years. The wireless connection was always slow. I updated the software, and the phone wouldn't restart. Looking at the support forums, this seems to be a problem that is not unusual. When I called Sony for support in the country where I am living, they said that they would not fix the phone, even if I paid, because I didn't buy the phone here, even though it is a model sold here.
Summary: The phone itself would have been great. I ordered this item brand new from New Generation Products. The item that was shipped appeared new on the surface. once I removed the back cover to install sim card and battery, I could see the item was used. It looked like its been dropped and the power button did not work. The phone took forever to arrive, and when I tried to exchange or return it, the seller told me via email that the time allotted for returns had expired.
Summary: I loved my phone but noticed it was difficult to get the charger into the socket. The small tab inside the socket is fragile and bends easily. Then the other day it broke off. Apparently, if you look online, a similar model has this problem all the time and Sony considers it customer abuse and you have to pay to fix it. 2/3 the price of the phone! I recommend not buying this phone. It has a weak point and the company doesn't stand behind the product.
Summary: This phone upgraded ok to 4.0 but it runs like a dog. I dream of smashing it up and videoing it for youtube. It is very very slow. I've missed incoming calls because the phone was 'doing something'. It is even impossible to type ahead - the phone forces the user to be as slow as it is. Completely unacceptable. I will never buy anything from Sony again.
Summary: Katastrophe!
Summary: Eigentlich ein sehr schönes handy.
