awesome phone. has some glitches
15 March 2013
Summary: For the first week i loved the phone. had no issues or anything other than it being stuck in roaming mode. i got the phone to play games and see how everything was over wifi before getting the phone turned on. but after having the phone for about 2 weeks, i have had it randomly crash on some of the apps that came on the phone. or completely stop responding.
Excerpt: I traded my iPhone 4 for this phone, looking for something know. Worst mistake I have ever made. It seems cool at first, and the gaming is fun, but it leaves much to be desired. It is very heavy and bulky, making it VERY uncomfortable to keep in your pocket. I've read everywhere that it has had great battery life, but for me that was the worst part. Replaced the battery, and it still wouldn't come close to lasting throughout the day, even after underclocking the CPU.
sony Xperia play is just a pretty phone...beyond that , not worthy.

Summary: First of all, this is a pretty phone and it kinda attracts because of the psp controls and its sharp screen but...it lags a lot when even gaming or using the phone itself its camera its only 5mp and it lacks if a zooming button. thefront camera is good but only an average one . very good volume speakers and nice sound quality when playing music and making a call. the keyboard is Horrible!!!! you have to download another keyboard but it won't help a bit.. Sony corp.
Excerpt: Build Quality: Very tough phone, friend accidently kicked the phone 8 feet in the air and landed face first on concrete and only received a minor bump. Reception: I sometimes don't receive calls from my friends. My friend tried calling me 3 times before the call was picked up by my phone Call Quality: Call quality is decent, but when my neighbor calls me, I can hear him fine but he can't hear me( this has happened numerous times) Internet: crashes numerous times daily,...
Pros: Battery Life, Bright Screen, Clear screen in sunlight, Very tough Phone, Pre-Installed Apps, Game pad
Cons: many dropped calls, Very slow browser, Poor Camera quality, Lags alot, Stock Keyboard is horrible, slow processor, Nothing special about the game quality, Not Enough RAM
Summary: I thought it would be much better than it actually is. The battery life isn't the best (I purchased some additional china brand batteries because of this). The internal storage is horrible, you can only store a couple games before either deleting them or moving them to your SD card for storage.
So so smartphone. I hope more, but.. what can I say?

Summary: Probably Sony Ericsson made a mistake when this smartphone. Wait wait SE fan boy's I ask myself : Why Sony ericsson created a smarthphone with video poor videogames features? actually they want a "smartfune" but their shot back down themselves. A vga video call camera? no way! gingerbread is your new operation system version despite in these day Ice cream sandwhich had good average ranking. in conclusion.
Summary: It has great features but the battery dies so fast. The phone constantly crashes out of all its apps very often. It even crashes out of the messaging and calling app. The psp part is ok but you have to download every content that takes up alot of space after you download the game, thats double the space one game is taking up. One game uses all most 1gb by itsself. It is very easy to use if you are use to android but to be honest i would never buy this phone again.
NO AT&T 3G. everything else is great. Returning for R800a model instead.

Summary: NO AT&T 3G. everything else is great. Returning R800i for R800a model instead, to hopefully get the U.S. 3G service that the product description says this one has. Great phone but cant use many functions like mapping and routing with EDGE data speeds. Return process if bought from Amazon is easy and quick, don't buy from non Amazon providers.
