Summary: I have had this phone for exactly 1 year and this is my review: I bought into the hype that I could play awesome games on this touted "Playstation Phone". I regret upgrading for 2 years on this phone, now I have to endure another year of this slow and buggy piece of junk.
Summary: I bought this cell phone while I was on the States, and when I returned to CR the PH worked just fine. If you're affraid to buy it let me tell you that works perfectly with the sim card of the ICE on GSM even when it suppouse that the R800I is not supported in CR it works perfectly.

Summary: NO AT&T 3G. everything else is great. Returning R800i for R800a model instead, to hopefully get the U.S. 3G service that the product description says this one has. Great phone but cant use many functions like mapping and routing with EDGE data speeds.

Summary: So I have had this phone for a bit now. As an android phone it out performs My old LG Optimus, and my friend's Samsung Transform, but not my other friend's Galaxy Nexus. The biggest problem I have is that when texting, there is occasional "freeze up" or keyboard problems.
Summary: The sony Ericsson R800A-BK Experia Play, is one of the most amazing SMARTHPHONES. It's desing, and easy to use software makes this phone one of the greatest cell phones ever made. We can watch movies, and specially play GREAT PSP games, it's really fun.
Summary: I got this phone after lot of research. I did not want to get into any contract and this phone was the apt one for me. It is at the same league as the iphone. Things I like about the phone: 1. Looks 2. Touch screen response - very smooth. 3. Display of the screen- one of the best. 4.
Excerpt: This phone handles games perfectly! Not one lag or slowdown on any games and most emulators work flawlessly. Its everything an android gamer could ask for. AND THE BATTERY NEVER DIES!!!! However, the phone part of the Xperia Play isn't quite as good.
Pros: Gamepad is extremely comfortable, Amazing battery life! I could fully function on 15%, Runs every game and emulator perfectly!, Gingerbread, Light sensor helps when in bright lights, Gets ICS update, Preloaded games
Cons: The screen could be slightly brighter, Surprisingly, no HDMI, Occasional lags but nothing bothersome, Joysticks suck at times
