Excerpt: As I write this, the Play is a year old device. But while shopping for Phones for other family members, My Son just drooled all over it, so we got it for him free on contract for Christmas. I am very surprised how good of a phone it really is. The reception and call quality is just amazingly good. I would almost recommend it for anyone who makes a lot of calls. It truly is that good. This is a solid built device, and seems really high quality.
Summary: It's great, love it, play games all day. I needed a phone, looked like fun. I love the games, the dual cameras, and all of the other features. Wish it had a bigger screen. This phone is so much better than all of the other phones I had ever owned. I wanted one with android, preferably 4G, and this has everything plus some.
Summary: hello for my opinion.Very good object.but i have big problem.I've can't using this Sony ericsson play to a gsm phone. It's locked by all parts (CDMA system, sim locking)because i've badly read the announc.(Verizon is a phone operator and not a mobile factory) It's good to a portable playstation, but not for a mobile phone. What is the solution.Yon send me the codes to unlock this or you pay off me.thanks to decide to a solution!
Excerpt: The phone is a good entry level smartphone. For a phone marketed for gaming some games aren't beter than other phones. The phone doesn't come with a lot of storage. The processor is outdated and can be slow at some points. The keyboard also isn't that good. The display is good even under sunlight. The battery life is great can get through a day and some with heavy usage. Overall the phone is good but if you want a high end phone this isn't it.
Unique all-in-one device for browsing & entertainment.

Summary: Very nice all-in-one smartphone/web browser/gaming device. Was convenient for entertaining at an airport. New Cyanogenmod7 Custom ROM was recently released for Xperia Play, but not for Verizon version...that's my only bummer, just in terms of flexibility. Not sure what future holds for device, considering Sony bought out Ericsson's share of their partnership. Hopefully, it won't impact my use of the device.
