Summary: I bought 2 of these, one for myself, one for my husband. I received them in August or so, and now I am buying new phones already because these 2 are dead. It started off well, they look great, good reception, worked well on the T mobile network in the US. We were not looking for iphone equivalent, so we were happy. But within 2 weeks of receiving my phone, I started having connectivity issues.
Excerpt: Well, I have this phone. AT first it seems okay, but after having it a while it starts freezing up and messing up. It gets to the point sometimes that it won't let me use the 9,5,and 7 to text. Really annoying when you try to text your family when they they you are just not answering them. Excerpt: I've had my Walkman for about a year and honestly I have to admit that the phone has good functions but the design of the phone, the buttons, the screen... WAY too small. What's worse is that the camera apparently has problems too because I took it to another country and when I turned on the camera to take a picture, everything just crashed. Blank screen. Nothing. Til this day, it still cannot turn on and after many efforts of trying to save it, I finally gave up.
Excerpt: we bought this phone for our 15 yr old son----who loves everything about the phone EXCEPT--------the keys crack from texting... we returned the first phone which they willingly admitted that they have had some problems with this issue, and then 1 month after that the new phone has done the same thing!!! so, 2 phones in 3 months and i think we'll be looking at something else. Excerpt: I bought this Sony Walkman for my son, and I am not too impressed. It is a good value for the price, but it may be worth it to spend a bit more and get a more durable product. After only a few months it has stopped working. Battery won't charge at all. I'm going to see about having it serviced, but I will probably just buy a new, and different, product for him. This one has been pretty aggravating to work at times.
Summary: this product was working okay for the first month i had it then it started to shut off on its own when i was in the middle of phone calls or when i placed it down. I bought it to last me while i was waiting to get a new phone. i was not very pleased when it started to shut off in the middle of a phone call and then wouldnt turn back on properly after. i gave this phone to my little brother who is also having the same problem.
Summary: I wish Sony would make their phones so that you can download songs on i Tunes from an i Mac. It is so much of a pain using Bluetooth as each song has to be downloaded individually and if you use a card reader and export your songs and pics the phone will not open them as it will only open P.C. files. If Sony wants to get ahead, make your phones mac friendly.
Summary: I require a quadband phone in order to take travelling with me and so having purchased the Sony Ericsson W810i on the basis that it has been advertised as a quadband phone I have been disapointed to discover that it is in actual fact a triband phone. I only discovered this as I read the Orange instruction manual once I had purchased the product, despite on the amazon website, along with many others, it having been described as a quadband phone.
Summary: I had so many gripes with this phone it finally took it back (even after the shop swapped it for a second new one), 1. Does NOT play standard Windows music files (WMA) it took me over 8 hours to get any music on it (I'm an MCSE) and had to resort to burning music to CD, copying back to the PC, converting in iTunes and then uploading to the phone but lost all my playlists and all track information. 2.
