Excerpt: Call quality wasn’t great, as I said the speakerphone was downright terrible, and it wasn’t like there were tons of other great things making up for the lack of good solid quality. I am still not completely sour on Sony quality, I think that they may have just hit a bad spot with this one. I wouldn’t recommend the phone unless someone gives it to you for free or it isn’t your main phone and you just use it for flash every once in a while.
Excerpt: The Sony Ericsson w760a takes great pictures. I have not found another phone that compares to the quailty of pictures. The only reason I keep the phone was for the pictures. There are a few bugs wrong with this phone that have me looking for another one. The first thing I notice was it would freeze up alot. It has the habit of just shutting off one its own.
Summary: This phone looks great and I decided to buy it based on the features it offers, the decent sound quality and what would seem to be a pretty intuitive menu navigation system. The number pad looks large enough for my fairly thick fingers to operate well. But when I bought it the intrigue gradually turned to irritation, and finally to aggravation. Some of it is just basic functionality.
Excerpt: "...is a failure in the Sony Ericsson brand. I sed to use a nokia n73 which was good but was more buisness like. I chose the w760i becuase the reviews were very good for the phone. I would advise people not buy a w760i. I think that Nokia are the best make and by far have outstanding phones. My nokia n73 was dropped in water twice and still worked fine. If i dropped a Sony Ericsson in water it wouldn't work anymore. ...
Pros: Nice keypad for texting, Nice phone visually .

Summary: The fundamental flaw with this phone is that the features it has are too flashy for the phone. The GIS is useless and I have never been able to use the Sat Nav as it can't find any satellites. The best I've been able to do is locate my position to within about 300,000 miles using Google maps. The walkman aspect of the phone is equally useless and to flashy for the phone to copy with.
Pros: It looks quite swish
Cons: The features are half hearted and never quite get there.
Summary: What a big disappointment. What could have been one of the best, if not the best Walkman phone ever, might just turn out to be the most frustrating phone you've ever used. Not because it's a bad phone, but because of a combination of little things....and one rather larger problem that will soon make you curse the day you ever put out money to buy the S.E W760i.
Pros: Phone feels very sturdy. Pretty large screen. Buttons feel nice to press. Sound quality is OK.
Cons: Freezes very, very often. Playing music is a pain because the phone regularly freezes for 1-5 seconds, roughly 2 times per song (on a bad day, 5-7 times) S.E still hasn't made any updates to fix this problem. Slow when texting, sometimes a delay between typing and letters showing up on screen. Headphone jack in the worst possible place, the side. Walkman button small, and also on the side, making in sometimes tricky to press.
