The Bad Pricing is steep for the actual feature set. 3G reduces practical battery life. Proprietary headset/data jack. Earbuds a step down from the W580. Sony Ericsson W760

CNET
19 June 2009
  • Summary: The Sony Ericsson W760i is the best Sony Ericsson Walkman phone we've seen, by far. It corrects one of Sony Ericsson's usual design pitfalls while offering a generous feature set and satisfying performance. We can suggest a few tweaks that should make it a winner.
  • Pros: The Sony Ericsson W760i has an attractive, easy-to-use design with a well-stocked, music-friendly feature set. It also offers broad world phone support, an accelerometer, and reliable performance.
  • Cons: The Sony Ericsson W760i's menus are the slightest bit sluggish, and some of its navigation controls were crowded. Also, it lacks a camera flash, and we're concerned about the long-term durability of its keypad buttons.

Sony Ericsson W760i

AskMen.com
14 December 2008
  • Summary: Sony’s latest Walkman phone, the Sony Ericsson W760i, is aimed at those who are on-the-go, but don’t want a ton of gadgets weighing them down. It’s easy to use, reliable and packed with music, communications and organization features. Hell, it even has an accelerometer and a couple of GPS applications, all in a slick slider that’s guaranteed to turn a head or two.

A Walkman phone on the Next G network

Good Gear Guide.au
20 October 2009
  • Summary: The W760i is the first Walkman handset to be available on the Next G network. Although it doesn’t offer any outstanding features, the combination of a smooth design, excellent build quality and Sony Ericsson’s Walkman software makes this an excellent handset overall.
  • Pros: Design, build quality, controls, user interface, access to Next G services, HSDPA-capable, built-in GPS
  • Cons: GPS isn’t completely free, camera is mediocre and lacks flash and autofocus

Sony Ericsson W760i

ZDNet
10 July 2008
  • Summary: The W760i is a solid performer, and we've found it hard to fault this handset during our tests. Yet, with strong competition hot on its heels, the W760i falls short of bowling us over.
  • Pros: Great Walkman music player, HSDPA data, Foxtel Mobile TV
  • Cons: Conventional-looking slider, No significant internal memory

Auswertung der Testberichte

eTest
17 March 2010
