The W580 has been a staple of GSM phone carriers ever since it was released simply because it does most things well (including music) at a low-enough price. Still, there were definite limitations, and the device now has a RAZR-like overabundance that signals a time for something new. The W760 promises to check off some the remaining flaws -- including the addition of 3G -- but also faces a tougher cellphone market. Sony Ericsson's ultimate challenge may be less to... Read more

The W760i is one of those phones that I can easily recommend to anyone who asks me about a good phone, it’s better than a good phone it’s a great phone really. It’s easy to use, call quality is perfect, pictures and videos are very good, and battery life is good as well, if you include all of the other great features you’ve got a very nice phone overall. S ony’s latest Walkman phone, the Sony Ericsson W760i, is aimed at those who are on-the-go, but don’t want a ton of gadgets weighing them down. It’s easy to use, reliable and packed with music, communications and organization features. Hell, it even has an accelerometer and a couple of GPS applications, all in a slick slider that’s guaranteed to turn a head or two. Uniqueness A measure of this gadget's exclusivity, relative to such factors as cost and... Read more

The bottom line: The Sony Ericsson W760i is the best Sony Ericsson Walkman phone we've seen, by far. It corrects one of Sony Ericsson's usual design pitfalls while offering a generous feature set and satisfying performance. We can suggest a few tweaks that should make it a winner. Read more

This wouldn't be as much of a problem if it weren't for a regression in the earbuds. The W580 was graced with some in-canal earbuds that, while not quite audiophile level, sounded genuinely good and were comfortable. Sony Ericsson only packs in a set of conventional over-the-ear buds. They're both more likely to be overly loose-fitting and to sound worse as a result. A quick listen will drive you to better earbuds and partly defeats the point of getting a media phone.... Read more

The W760 is a great phone with a lot of nice features. I like the music capacity because it accepts up to a 4 gig of memory. The media player is nice but has some draw backs. I noticed the phone can be a little slow. The sense me function is'nt working for me. This function is supposed to give you music pertaining to moods. What i like the most is it's signal strenth because I always have a good signal. I like that I can have different themes that are animated and I just... Read more

Great trendy looking phone, love quite a few things about it, but it was trouble from day one for me. Opened it as a birthday present, & found out the 9 wasn't lit up. Got it in September 2008, & I am on my third phone of this kind! The charger stops working after a while, (& it's not the chargers that stopped working as I tried many) it randomly restarts itself, freezes itself. Would advise you to get this phone! Read more

Hey, it's a phone. Sure it has a camera without a flash and internet availability, but it functions best as a phone. Calls can be answered without opening the phone. The multimedia interface isn't the best. Read more
