Excerpt: Sony Ericsson today announces the W660 - a Walkman® phone which places an emphasis on style and feel. With a tactile finish that just begs to be touched, it's a classic-design 3G phone available in two distinctive colours, Record Black and Rose Red. Also introduced is a compact new music accessory, the Snap-on Speakers MPS-75, which let you play the tracks stored on your Walkman® phone out loud.
Excerpt: Established in October 2001 the joint venture between Sony Corporation and Ericsson resulted in one of the world's leading mobile phones manufacturers Sony Ericsson. As of lately, all new Sony Ericsson handsets belong to the 2 well-known series, Walkman and Cybershot, both having different target customers. Businesswise, Sony Ericsson's phones don't compete each other.
Summary: Despite the polyphony having 40 chords in the W660i, the handset does not provide a breakthrough in sounding of mp3 tunes compared to other Sony Ericsson branded phones. Volume-wise, performing on average level on this front, the W660i is pretty much akin to Sony Ericsson K790/K800/W810. Be sure you will hear the handset outdoors. The silent alert provides average strength.
Summary: When Sony Ericsson redefined added the Walkman brand to a mobile for the first time, it redefined the music-focused handset. Now a proven design, the Walkman phone line-up has expanded to cover an ever-widening range of models. The W660i is one of Sony Ericsson’s mid-range variants. The W660i boasts an impressive feature for a 3G phone, but it lacks the style and flare of the trendy W880i.
Excerpt: Before the Apple iPhone arrived, Sony Ericsson had laid claim to be the most powerful mobile music brand in town with its smart use of the Walkman marque. Hugely successful, Sony Ericsson's Walkman portfolio has expanded to suit almost every taste and price point, and the W660i is another 3G model that fits neatly into Sony Ericsson's mid-range music phone line-up.

25 September 2007
Excerpt: Loads of photos below – I would love to know your thoughts on what is the best the Sony Ericsson W880i or the W660i? I looked on the net trying to choose a mobile phone that would suit me of which took a while choosing, ok yes I do own Phones review and should have…
Pros: God lydkvalitet, Føles robust, Indbygget FM-radio
