Always loved this flip phone

Jennifer Blevins, Amazon
10 October 2013
  • Summary: I purchased this one because I had one just liked it before and it had died. Before I called it quits with my old one I ordered a new OEM battery to see if I could bring life back into it. Didn't work, New battery didn't help. I got the new phone, plugged it up to charge and then it didn't work. Had it on the charger for two days and was not holding a charge.

pretty good

JJ, Amazon
26 September 2013
  • Summary: reviews were iffy and it was a risk to buy but I am satisfied- no problems. The data space is not as large as I would like so I lost some numbers in the transfer and lots of texts msgs so back your phone and print everything out before you make the transfer

Bought as a gift!

Karen Bowles, Amazon

  • Summary: Bought this phone as a gift to my daughter. She had one and liked it's operation, so we replaced it when her old one quit working. Don't know anything about the phone other than she liked it.

User Review

29 July 2013
  • Summary: The Sony W518a GSM phone is a good value for the money if you're looking to down grade from a smartphone. It has a lot more features than what I need it for but as a solid small easy to carry clam shell phone it is easy to use, and hits the mark. I use the phone primarily for calls, tasks, calendar and text.

  • Summary: I purchase this phone for my dad, so far he like it. No complain so far, this phone is good for someone who don't really want all the modern features on a phone. Just easy to use..

Good receiver and range

Randy D. Lasater "baja 250", Amazon
31 May 2013
  • Summary: This Phone is a good Flip phone for a guy that does not want a I phone. I just like to talk and if I need to take a picture this thing has a good camera. I was impressed with the quality. Not all digitals are the same. It has some funky ringtones on the phone also. I bought an extra battery. They are cheap. I will use for a while and save for an extra. You never know. Plus I don't like to walk around with a mini computer tracking my every move.

Reasonably priced, no frills.

James G. Bruen Jr., Amazon
9 April 2013
  • Summary: This is a reasonably priced no frills basic cell phone. It works well for voice calls, photos, and text messaging. When used as a speaker phone it's okay. The phone's not much use for the internet, but the button for accessing the internet is so prominent that at first you may use it inadvertently, triggering unwanted data usage charges. A batterty charge can last several days. We got three of these phones (one black, two red) initially.
