Excerpt: I chose this phone because overall it had nice looks and some simple all around features that would do for me. After having this phone (including a replacement) for over a year I've had several problems that I think are worth considering if you were interested in this model. It's a bit long but worthwhile so that you know what poor qualities you could be in for, as well as poor service if you try to get it fixed.
Pros: - Looks pretty nice, inside and out, - Takes okay to good photos in bright lighting, - The outside features are interesting and fun to use, - Takes memory sticks, - Plays music, - Audio is clear, - Long battery life if you use it primarily for talking
Cons: - Takes poor photos in almost any other lighting, - Number panel requires some added pressure, - Speaker quality is rather poor, - Various features (number panel, outer display, casing, vibration, call settings) broke over time., - Poorly Assembled
Excerpt: i have had this phone for almost six months or just over and i am having to get a new one the sound has gone on me and the vibration alert is dimmened also it has got into a habit of switching itself off at its own demand and i have heard it has happened to many others. on the other hand its a nice sized phone and untill the sound went had great sound quality and i liked the design on the front of grail buttons still got atm untill i get a new one and its ok as a spare...
Pros: lock on outside so its not possible to catch buttons, design is nice looking, easy to use, small enough to fit in pocket
Cons: sound has gone after 6 months, turns itself off, doesnt last very long
Summary: Another product which is hard to review as it was another gift, from what I saw the phone looked well used, came with all contacts/messages etc from previous owner and didn't work very well. My mum hated it although she had exactly the same phone before hand which broke. I can only comment on what I saw of it as I didn't use it. However the phone itself (when brought new) Is a great model.
Excerpt: The W380i is one of Sony Ericsson's Walkman phones although I must admit that had nothing to do with the reason I bought it and I have never actually used this feature. I chose the phone as it is a clam-shell style, which suits me as I feel the screen and buttons are much better protected and because it was available on Tesco Mobile PAYG for £79.99. The fact that mine is dark purple with pink accents and is super slim and stylish was a bonus.
Pros: Looks good, reliable and nice size
Cons: Camera isn't great and walkman is difficult to work .
the sony ericsson w380i is an ok phone with mp3 player

Excerpt: I bought this phone last year after seeing and thinking how great the purple version looked but came across one in pink which was even better, so i snapped it up without reading much of its features, it wasn't till later i got it home i realised it has no video capture included, i was a little disappointed but decided to keep it because aside from that the phone seemed good, it has great sound on the mp3 player and radio and very easy to use.
Excerpt: Sony Ericsson W380i is a very nice mobile with really great features like: It has a sensor near the camera and when you slide your hand back and fourth in the air in front of the camera, it silences the call if it is coming or snoozes the alarm. It has something known as 'track id' which takes a sample of music(recording) of a song playing on an other device(eg:TV, laptop or someone else's mobile, etc.
Pros: many cool features like explained in the 'review' part .
Cons: bad quality camera and no video recording ! ! !
Excerpt: I bought this from littlewoods catalogue for £79, at the time i didn't really know what type of mobile i wanted. i was in a hurry as my old one had broken. i chose this because it was purple(!) and also because i was intending on loading songs onto it, i never got round to it but i still liked the phone anyway. i bought it about 8 months ago, 3 months ago the battery life went downhill, it would need charging everyday which i think is bad.
Pros: looks good, its purple, quite cheap
Cons: signal rubbish, battery life poor, falls apart
Excerpt: I didn't particularly need a new phone when I bought this but it just looked so good in deep purple with hot pink accents that I just had to have it! The coolest feature of this phone is the 'magic metal' surface. It just looks like a standard phone with a braille pattern down the front, but press it and the metal lights up in a little screen showing the time plus little symbols for the battery power, any unread messages, signal strength and whether the phone is locked...
Excerpt: This is quite a cool phone to own at first because of the unique screen on the front and the music buttons on the outside of the phone that will amaze your friends for hours on end but this is more or less where the good things about this phone begin and end. The back off the phone likes to pop out easily, and no I'm not talking about the part that open so you can put the battery and sim in like most phones, I mean the actual back of the phone which you have to pop back...
Pros: Not enough - just that it looks cool music buttons and a screen on the oustide
Cons: Poor walkman for a walkman phone, poor camera and breaks easily
Excerpt: I have had this phone for about 6 months now, so I thought it would be a good idea to write a review letting anybody out there who is considering buying it- not too! This is my fourth Sony erricson phone; and the fourth one that has broken within weeks of me owning it. Why, you may ask do I keep buying phones from the brand if the wares are of a poor quality, beats me but I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the fact that they always make their phones so...
