With its easy-to-use music player and on-board FM tuner, the Sony Ericsson W205 Walkman is a decent budget music phone. It's just a shame that Sony Ericsson has lumbered it with such a poor-quality screen and tiny keypad Read more

I'm not convinced about the W205. I don't mark down just because of a dearth of features, but features and price point need to match, and I think you can find a better match by shopping around. Read more

We at mobilefonereviews.co.uk think the SE W205 is basic mid range mobile phone but offers the great qualities of all mod cons of today. This handset would suit the younger consumers as there are some entertainment features plus the practical use of a mobile phone of being able to stay contactable. Read more

In the past all the different Sony Ericsson handsets that I have looked at have been available in a choice of colours with rather descriptive names.  However there has to be an exception and that is the Sony Ericsson W205.  With this model the company has mimicked the Henry Ford Mantra.  You can have any colour you like as long as it is black – in this case Ambient Black thus retaining the descriptive policy. The W205 is a slider handset measuring 92 x 47 x 16. Read more

I have had this phone for about a year now . I bought it origianally as I liked the white and Orange design -I thought it looked nice (well that will teach me to judge something by looks!) So the phone arrived . Still thought it looked nice. Was a nightmare getting the back off to put the sim in but got there in the end . Charged it up . The phone takes ages to load when you switch it on . The battery life is poor lasts 12-24 hours i'd say on a good day! Read more

    • Looks quite nice
    • Need to purchase memory card to do anything - Short battery life between charging

This is the worst phone I have ever had. The battery takes ages to charge and doesn't even last the day out. My mobile is only used very occasionally mostly for texts. the mobile was a gift otherwise I wouldn't have chosen it myself. I have an old sony ericsson which I keep as a stand by and the battery lasts for a week at least. Read more

My one main problem with this phone is the total lack of battery, 24 hours maximum without even using it. Rubbish alerts & ringtones. A descent speaker. But why can't they make it with a normal 3.5 headphone jack. Nice phone that lacks design thought. Read more
