Time to retire. . . .

310grahamhp, Ebay
10 December 2007
  • Summary: I got this phone a few weeks ago after using a blackberry pearl for several months previously, so take everything I say with a grain of salt if you are still used to older phones. However even a lot of older ones work a lot better than the T610. When trying to change from one menu to another the process is oftentimes achingly slow.

The T68i Dies

pigtails2..., Ciao
18 December 2004
  • Excerpt: "I have had two of these, the second to replace the unfixable first. On my first the number 7 key stopped working so I sent it back for repair and was sent a new one which again lasted six months this time the screen faded, went black and was never to work again. It was a shame as the phone itself is brilliant when working. It is the easiest phone to navigate and came with ten games the first time and thirteen the second. The games were basic but ...
  • Pros: Small Phone Very easy to navigate
  • Cons: They don't live long both mine lasted 6 months

T68i - Don't Bother

k_shirtcl..., Ciao

  • Excerpt: "I had this phone for a year on an orange contract and got rid of it as soon as I could. The device is competent in terms of functionality however, I had to have three replacements on the orange insurance as they just kept packing in! Common problems were - number pad packing in, spontaneous switching off, screen losing backlight. My friends have had simillar problems too. On the upside the fact you can assign pictures to callers is a nice touch ...

The pointless colour phone

abull, Ciao
13 May 2004
  • Excerpt: "I've had this phone for a while, and when I saw this site I knew I had to tell others about it. I realise this has been reviewed so many times, but I still feel strongly about this product. In use, the phone is simple enough to get to all available features and navigation is simple too. However, a phone needs more than that. People do want a small phone, and this has compact dimensions in abundance. Sadly, its size without good engineering ...
  • Pros: Small, looks good, adequate features
  • Cons: Bad battery, bad reception, pointless colour

T68i - Grat Phone - poor reliability

mike.jhug..., Ciao
11 March 2004
  • Excerpt: "Not a great deal to add to other reviews elsewhere except to say I loved this phone when it was working - but for the 12 months I owned it on a contract 4 months of that time was spent in the repair shop. The phones functions are very logical and easy to use - well thought out and nice colour screen. Good memory - but camera is an added feature at extra cost - a definate poor feature in the current crop of phones. If it the phone was robust ...

  • Excerpt: "I have always had Nokia phones but because my friends decided to get the T68i I though I'd give it a go and persuaded Orange to upgrade me (usual price £149) - what a mistake! The phone has some great features: -The five dimensional joystick makes drawing pictures and gaming easy. -The phone dimensions are 100 x 48 x 20 mm. -The screen size is 34 x 28 mm. -Bluetooth wireless technology -Built-in modem -Calendar -Contacts -E-mail (POP3 ...

If you're trendy towny scum, then buy this

routlej1, Ciao
18 July 2003
  • Excerpt: "As a former supporter of the "anti-phone" cause, I recently gave up on my beliefs and bought the poshest most ridiculous phone there is. Unlike most phones, which have some ridiculous features, the T68i has the lot. If you want to know all the daft features, then go to the site, but I'll garuntee you'll never need them. There's a colour screen of course, Bluetooth, infra-red, organiser, about a million games (but no snake!), predictive text, picture ...
  • Pros: Very snazzy and oooh it's colour
  • Cons: 250 quid !

Lack of signal

JaimiMiln..., Ciao
26 June 2003
  • Excerpt: "...Orange contract and received a Sony Ericsson T68i. At first I was really impressed with how it looked and all of the great features this little phone had. After the first 3 weeks of use the signal started to deteriorate. To start off with I would have half a signal then after 11 days of this I then had a NO ACCESS logo instead of the Orange symbol. I couldn't make or receive calls for 2 months. I rang Orange a total of 7 times regarding the problem ...
  • Pros: Light, Slim, Easy to use, Fashionable design, Great features
  • Cons: Joystick is too sensitve, Tends to be slow at times, Poor signal
