Although the phone has 20 keys on the keypad, it doesn't have the red and green buttons you might expect to use when you make or receive a phone call. Instead you have to use a tiny button on the touchscreen when you want to receive a call and another virtual button when it ends. It's a bad system that proves Sony Ericsson has forgotten the P1i is primarily a phone. Overall, this is a nice looking phone with a number of flaws. Read more

Sony Ericsson P1i Review - Smartphone that joins office and multimedia functions
Reviewer: Softpedia18 September 2007I wanted to like Sony Ericsson's P1i smartphone, and up to the point of actually working with it, I was in love. Unfortunately, there are simply too many downsides and bugs that shouldn't be there, since the smartphone has been launched on the market. There's no secret that the smartphone's launch was a little bit hurried to meet the iPhone's launch, but that’s no reason/excuse to launch a handset with so many important flaws or downsides. Still, there's a good part ... Read more

Sony Ericsson P1 Review
Reviewer: phonearena.com18 July 2007- Overall 9

We like the P1! Compared to the M600, the new P-series smartphone offers the desired high-quality camera and Wireless LAN (WiFi) which is a must in such style device. When put next to the P990, the P1 reduces the size, removes the dual-type keyboard and with the hybrid QWERTY allows for even faster text typing. P1 is not only successor of the M600, it is the successor of the P990 and it is a good one. Its main drawback is the tri-band GSM and single-band UMTS, but if ... Read more

Good Smartphone but fails to deliver ...
Reviewer: cwl30 techno2k, CNET4 weeks ago- Overall 5

The P1i is indeed a very decent Smartphone when it comes to design. The touchcreen function is awesome and probably the only PDA type Smartphone out there which packs a good 3.2mp Camera. However, the one thing SonyEricsson does not do well is to ensure this continued success of the product as it fails to deliver on the specifications which are out there with other competitors. I've always tossed about comparing the P1i with the N95. Both phones have their plus points... Read more

Having owned the P800 and P910 I could not wait for the P990. Oh dear. What a huge disappointment that was. However I was willing to give the P1i a go. I was not going to be an early adopter as I had with the others. I was the coward in the corner waiting to feed of everyone else misfortune and then make up my mind. The reviews were mixed but in the absence of anything else I took the plunge. I must say I am glad I did. Read more

Really bad Qualtiy
Reviewer: techno2k, review.businessmobileasia.com21 January 2008- Overall 1

I got this phone 3 weeks ago, and after two weeks it stopped working. I took it to Sony service, they changed everything from LCD screen to PCB board :( . Sony support both phone and email is worst ever I had experienced. My friend told me that phones when bought from India is from Chinese made where as outside would be from Sweden. I never believed it, as I thought Quality standards of Sony would be same everywhere. It was not, the phone was victim of worst quality c... Read more
