Sony Ericsson K850i

CNET
16 February 2009
  • Summary: Though its navigation controls and keypad aren't up to par, the Sony Ericsson K850i is one of the finest camera phones we've seen.
  • Pros: The Sony Ericsson K850i has a gorgeous display, a wide range of features, and desirable sound quality. It's also a fantastic camera phone with outstanding photo quality.
  • Cons: The Sony Ericsson K850i's navigation array and touch controls take a little getting used to. Also, the keypad buttons are rather small.

Sony Ericsson K850i

  • Conclusion: Though not designed for the US market, the Sony Ericsson K800i is a viable solution in your world phone arsenal. If you travel overseas and you have T-Mobile service in the US, then this is a great phone with strong reception and an excellent digital camera. The photo quality competes head-to-head with other current autofocus 3.2MP camera phones and works well for voice.
  • Pros: Great camera! Lovely screen and reasonably compact given the features inside. The multitasking, 64MB memory and Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support put the K800i in the top tier of the feature phone pack. Nice browser, though not the best one, and a good RSS reader.
  • Cons: We wish that the number keys were a big larger. The phone really need more RAM to run multiple applications. The lack of the 850 band and EDGE makes it a bad choice for Cingular users but a fine choice for those in Europe and Asia as well as T-Mobile US users who don't care about data speeds.

Sony Ericsson K850i

  • Excerpt: Sony Ericsson has always managed to neatly combine digital photography and/or music players with its mobile handsets. Typically the K850i should be no exception, but here’s what I found out. Form Factor The K850i incorporates a partly touchscreen-like display. Three nodes at the bottom of the 2.2 inch display (240 x 320 pixels, 262K colors) are the three points that are touch-sensitive. The keypad is a bit odd with squarish protruding keys.

  • Summary: T he Sony Ericsson K850i is just like its predecessors in the K-series a marvellous cameraphone. You don't have to purchase this cell phone just for its camera. The K850i mobile phone features a neat design, an integrated MP3 player and radio. With the ability of TrackID never again you will find yourself thinking: 'what was the name of that song again?'.

Sony Ericsson K850i review -

Mobile Choice UK
12 December 2011
  • Pros: Sony Ericsson has finally embraced the five-megapixel camera with the K850i, but that's only half the story. BestPic and Photo Fix are just two of the standout functions
  • Cons: To be frank, it's quite a boxy looking phone, and the finish is perfect for framing grubby fingerprints

  • Summary: The K850i is the best camera phone currently available on the market. Although it still doesn't replace a stand-alone digital camera, for a device that you can carry everywhere in your pocket, it does a fine job. It's a shame about the small keypad and squashed controls.
  • Pros: 5-megapixel Cyber-shot camera with 16x digital zoom, redesigned media interface, spring-operated battery and SIM card cover, vibrant display, accelerometer
  • Cons: Controls and keypad quite small, touch-sensitive selection buttons not well placed, a little chunky

Expert Review

fastprice.de
1 April 2011
  • Cons: Neue Mitteltaste gewöhnungsbedürftig, Kein optischer Zoom

Sony Ericsson K850i
