See lessWe are disappointed by the Sony Ericsson K850 and how it performs as a camera. Really, considering it is the top Cyber-shot branded phone, it should be one of the best on the market, but the comparison with the old N95 and the G600 shows different things. As the K810, the K850 has its strong flash, but probably due to wrong algorithm delivers colorless images. Having in mind the upcoming cameraphones from other brands, we are not sure the K850 will be able to stay... Read more
The K850i Cyber-shot is one of the best camera-phones available in the market right now, thanks to its dedicated controls, good performance and natural-looking images. Read more
design The first observation most will make about the K850i is regarding its thickness: there's no escaping the reality that this phone is bulky. The design is not especially sharp-edged and will fit into most pockets, but it's certainly not for those who like to wear tight clothing. It's about 50 percent thicker than the W580i we reviewed before, though the technical features of the K850i at least help explain away this difference. Read more
5 MP Sony Ericsson Camera Phone Shoots And Scores Image isn't everything. Beyond a solid Cyber-shot-branded cam, this tidy 118 gram candy bar comes chock full of sweet, easy-to-master programs that let you edit, remix and publish sharp pics and vid clips on the fly. In minutes, we whipped up a 45-second, 1.7 MB video slideshow that looked surprisingly decent online at 240x320. But despite Bluetooth, adequate web browsing and RSS feeds, this pin-striped, 3G beauty isn't... Read more

while it is good to continue on the success of its predecessors now offering a higher megapixel cam, SE seems to focus too much on implementing the camera capability of this phone while forgetting the many aspect a handphone should possess to be among the top i.e. lousy keypad, bulkiness, poor build quality. so, many would still stick to their K810i in this case. I was looking to replace a phone, an mp3 player with built in stereo FM radio, and a camera with one gadget, which also had e-mail capabilities. That is how I became a satisfied owner of a Sony Ericsson K850i phone. It has all the features and then some. The display is crisp, clear and bright. The menus are intuitive and easy to use. Navigation becomes automatic after a few hours; keys are small and take a bit to get used to. If you have big hands, this might not be the... Read more
Phone takes very good pictures. Excellent reception/transmission. First one I received the display stopped after about 3 weeks. J&R sent a new one quickly, so far so good... Read more
This is our second "K series" SE phone and we encountered a similar issue on the K750i and now this K850i : the phones would not charge any longer after about a year for the K750... Fancier, the K850 had an even shorter life : 3 months... Very sad... I suspect the pins for the charging connectors are breaking/ not making contact with the phone... I guess I will not insist on the next SE well marketed series coming out and will explore other brands from now on... Overall,... Read more or see product
