Great camera, Xenon Flash, Poor Design (keypad) - K810i
9 September 2012
Excerpt: This was the second Sony Ericsson phone in my storyline of cell phones. It's certainly an upgrade and big improvement from the glitchy W300i. This phone is equipped with a really good camera (even at 3.2 MP) and has Xenon flash. Even in dark venues and dim lighting, this phone does a really great job capturing photos. The auto-focus is phenomenal (for a camera phone), I'm able to focus on particular objects in my viewfinder easily.
Excerpt: Hi all, I have been using this phone for nearly an year, still this phone rocks to me.I have ever faced any problem with dis phone. The Pictures taken on this phone even challenges some pictures taken on the digicam.I can sync any bluetooth device easily to it as it has the A2DP technology in it.This phone has a loads & loads of stuff in it.I Would recomend dis phone to anyone starting from begineers to advanced users.K810 it rocks...............
Excerpt: I’ve been using this nice phone for a while now - been a Sony Ericsson user for years - and even though my brother and a few other people have been trying to get me to switch to an iPhone, I’m resisting their overtures thanks to my trusty K810i. An iPhone is a lovely gadget, but this phone is more than good enough for me right now, even though it’s not a perfect phone.
Excerpt: I bought it last February and still it is going fine. Even it fell from my hand 2-3 times but may be coz of luck it is still good. The design is very much stylish. It is light weight compared to the other competitors of Nokia. The pictures taken using the camera is very good and difficult to differentiate from that of a digital camera. The pictures without using flash gives better pictures. The daylight pictures are too good.
Excerpt: Although I was skeptical of the keypad at first, it is surprisingly easy to use and well-designed, and the camera quality and features are of a good standard. However there is not much difference between this and the K800, so upgrading does not make too much sense, but it still beats most other phones easily.
Conclusion: SE k810i is an excellent cameraphone (even after actual standards-I don't think that a phone like SE K850i is a leap forward in imaging department-excepting the videos resolution-, and phones like SE C702, C902, W902 are may be even worse).I would recommend this phone not just for his multimedia capabilities, but also for his qualities in day by day use (battery life, signal strength, voice calls, interface, usability, durability).
Pros: I have this phone for 11 months and i haven't had any problems with it. The joystick works really good, the keypad the same.
Cons: I don't know what other users think, but i personally dislike the camera shutter button (beside the fact is an electronic shutter, it's also pretty small). Also in low light conditions the camera viewfinder gets slower (unlike Nokia phones). This 2 things can cause many blurred shots in low light conditions (even if using the flash).
