Sony Ericsson K810i

Sony Ericsson K810i

The Sony Ericcson K810i is the upgraded version of the previous K800i released about a year before. Both phones are part of Sony Ericcson’s Cyber-shot range of mobile phones geared towards taking photos. The tri-band K800i was officially unveiled on February 2007 and comes in three colors: Noble Blue, Pulse Red and Golden Ivory.

Both the K810i and the older K800i offer similar features. The main differences being the design of the housing and a few other improvements. The K810i, at 4.2 x 1.9 x 0.7 inches, is slightly larger but a bit thinner than its predecessor which measures in at 4.1 x 1.8 x 0.8 inches. It is also much lighter at 3.6 ounces compared to 4 ounces. The K810i also comes with improved battery life, lasting up to 400 hours on stand by and up to 10 hours of talk time; an improvement of 50 and 3 hours respectively.

Key Features

The device’s main feature is its camera being that it is a Cyber-shot branded mobile phone. The K810i comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus lens, 16x digital zoom and Xenon flash that can take pictures at a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. The camera can also record video at QCIF (176 x 144 pixels) resolution at 10 frames per second.

Other camera features include eight scene presets, four shooting modes, three focus modes, four special effects, three flash settings, and stabilization for both photos and video. Stored photos on the 64 megabyte of internal memory and in the Memory Stick Micro card can then be uploaded to a personal online blog or sent directly to a printer using PictBridge.
