Excerpt: Very nice mid-range phone by sonyericsson. It possesses almost all the features of a high end phone but with limited functionality, for ex. camera- very good but without zooming in Mpixel mode, music player- good but without mega bass, etc. If sonyericson had manufactured it with 2.2 inches screen, then k770i would have been a much much better phone than any other of its range in the market. Very fast in operation, hardly hangs,...
Excerpt: So far I’ve been using it for nearly a year and the overall battery life hasn’t been hindered. There are some annoying quirks on it such as the lack of a sleep timer and the lack of a warning sound if a message fails. Also despite it being slightly on the newer line of the K series, it failed to implement the media browser. Overall, this is a pretty decent phone and it’s worth the money. Not totally recommended for massive txters, but the camera makes up for it.
Excerpt: This phone really amazed me since I bought it several days ago. I've K790 before and I already sold it out in order to get this new cybershot phone. The shape is amazingly slimmer, lighter and prettier than my old one. The sound is also rocks! I can have a walkman quality sound in this phone! Though there are also some minuses in this baby. 1. The zoom is only in VGA mode. I cannot use the zoom in 1, 2 and 3 mpix.
Excerpt: Looking at this phone, relative to everything else offered on the market, I really can't see any close competitors. This is the only mid-high range phone which really shines for me, and I've searched endlessly already :( The competitors: The U700 from Samsung, while it's a good phone, the interface lags (compared to recent Nokia S40 phones or the S60 6120, or event the K750i), the camera isn't Cybershot clear and the phone is simply too..
Excerpt: SE seems to be working on their designs. If U look at a couple of handsets, U can see how they prefer to keep things simple yet have features even some of the high end manufacturers don't. I like the Keypad layout here. Another good thing is that they have done away with the Jog, as that is does tend to mal function somtime or the other. I just hope they don't over price this one. I have the K800i, and I must say I'm really pleased with that phone.
Summary: I have used this phone for 4 months while waiting for my phone to be replaced and will miss it when it goes back. The camera is great for family snaps and videos. The flash is very bright and useful as a torch which I have done many a time when checking on my children. It is easy to send them via text and the general features of the phone are great. I was impressed by the text recognition on this unit which is almost never flumuxed even by some obscure words.
Summary: I was first attracted to this phone as it was PURPLE! And yes, although i hate to admit it, i'm a sucker for mobile phones that look 'cool' or 'pretty'. But anyway, i got this phone on pay as you go a while back, which cost me £100. Not too bad for a phone that looks gorgeous, has great reviews and excellent features. But does it live up to what i've read? The answer is, yes. This phone is sturdy, stylish and substantial.
Pros: Great features, sturdy, reliable, looks lovely, great to text.
Cons: Silver coating can get scratched off the buttons easily.
Sony Ericsson K770i: In terms of price vs features, it's a bargain!
12 April 2010
Summary: The Sony Erricsson K770i is a good value-for-money mobile phone. It does everything you expect it too and it is encased in a stylish case - my preferred colour is the gunmetal grey! The 3.2 megapixel camera makes it extremely easy to take pictures and videos on the go and the large screen makes it suitable for less technologically abled people to use. In terms of features, it's in tune with the best out there and if you're on a budget, it's a good one to go for.
Pros: 3.2mp camera, easy to use, stylish.
Cons: lens cap slides on it's own, no walkman software. (not major issues!)
