Summary: I'm returning this piece of garbage after having given it a good 3-week trial. A short list of major complaints: 1) The exposed buttons cause it to turn on by itself with the slightest pressure. Constantly finding a dead battery as a result. 2) The software is frustratingly non-intuitive...downright nonsensical in many places. 3) Lousy antenna: I can't get a signal in my home. Every other phone I've had got a signal.
Conclusion: Coming from K750i and K550, with a short time using a HCT TyTNII, the G705 has nice additions to the K predecessors (Wifi, GPS, accelerometer) but I'm not sure they balance the poor non-autofocus camera (3.2mp is really pointless here), the memory detected as MTP device in Phone Mode which is less flexible than Flash Drive (can't map as a drive so can't sync "non-Windows Media" content).
Pros: - Overall still an excellent phone in the SE tradition (lastest firmware recommended).
Cons: - Memory recognized as MTP device in Phone Mode, No more possible to use phone as flash drive without having to switch to Mass Storage mode (no phone function)
