Excerpt: The name Sony is widely known in electronics and Sony Ericsson mobile phones are also popular. This article is a review of the Sony Ericsson C905a mobile phone. See what the fuss is all about and draw your own conclusions.
Conclusion: Our pick of today’s crop of 8MP cameraphones combines the best in modern digital photography with, er, the best in modern digital comms. There are certainly gimmicky features on board but the chassis of this lassie is classy.
Pros: Ever since mankind rubbed Louis Daguerre and Alexander Graham Bell together to make the cameraphone, we’ve been waiting for a gadget that’s genuinely good at both. With the C905, that wait is over. As a camera, it captures big, bright and bold 8MP images, tarted up with Sony’s latest digital tweakery, such as geo-tagging, smart contrast and smile shutter for rigorously enforced jollity. Compared with a ‘real’ camera, it’s missing only a zoom lens and a bit of shutter ...
Cons: Sony Ericsson’s marketing department should be kicking themselves for labelling this none-too-slender handset ‘Plus’. This 18mm-thick slice of technology isn’t exactly fat but it’s certainly no supermodel, thanks to a camera lens that bulges out awkwardly. And for such a substantial handset (it’s a shade heavier than an iPhone), the 2.4-inch screen is on the wee side.
Conclusion: The Sony Ericsson C905 is one hot piece of equipment to hit the market to date. We at Mobilefonereviews.co.uk are loving the C905. The 8.1 mega-pixel is sublime, you really couldn’t ask for anymore from a mobile phone camera. The music entertainment is fantastic and all the internet technologies are marvellous. This phone really is a work of art. It looks stunning and provides a stunning service.
Pros: 8 MP phone with decent flash, Superb Web Browser
