Overall, the C902 offers an awful lot for a cameraphone. There are, understandably, still limitations posed by the nature of the device – the C902 lacks an optical zoom of any sort and images are a touch grainy and slightly lacking in sharpness when viewed at 100% (though this is understandable considering the size of the sensor and lens). While it may not yet be time to ditch your compact, who can predict what we’ll be carrying in two years’ time? Read more

    • Excellent design, compact-esque functionality
    • Images are still behind compacts, for the time being!

Maybe we're overreacting. Maybe the C902 isn't the new slimline K850i after all. Maybe its the new K770i – though we thought that was the C702 - and a C903 or C904 device will come along and slot in between the C902 and C905 before the K850i gets the chop. Or maybe the K850i will live onto to a ripe old age. After all, you can still buy the two-year-old K800i. At the end of the day the C902 is just a competent upper mid-range snapper and we expected rather more. Read more

S ony Ericsson’s Cyber-shot range of mobile handsets come in some trendy designs. As they carry the name of Sony’s digital camera range, the expectation of similar performance is unavoidable. Then again, we have to take into account that we’re not talking about a dedicated device but a multipurpose gadget designed for various needs and requirements. We put the Cyber-shot C902 through some rigorous tests over the last ten days, and here’s our take on it. Read more

The Sony Ericsson C902 Cyber-shot is a 5 megapixel cameraphone that features autofocus while maintaining a slim, bulge-free profile. Russell takes it out for a spin around town and comes away very impressed - except for the C902's surprisingly short battery life, that is. Read more

This is the best camera phone in the Cyber-shot family to date. The pictures we've taken are sharp and colourful, and the camera operation is easy and intuitive. It may be missing some of the tech we see in many smartphones, but then, the C902 isn't a smartphone. Read more

What a brilliant little phone. The Sony Ericsson C902i really is an all-round solid performer and will appeal to many people. It looks great and is uber thin, which we like. The music player is ‘almost’ Walkman quality, and the camera…excellent. The specs alone set the camera apart, but the addition of the touch-sensitve shortcut keys on the screen was a brilliant idea. Highly recommended. Read more

Try to access bluetooth features using the instructions manual. It's insane. Sony-Ericsson simply forgot to update the instructions manual. Try using zoom to take a picture or record a movie. The images become quickly blurred. Great expectations can be disappointing about this cell phone. Read more

This is a slim, and durable phone which will last you for a while. It has a fantastic camera which is 5 megapixels. It also has a considerably good quality speaker for music. The gaming is also a splendid experience. The phone comes with Need for Speed, in which you can tilt the phone to control the steering. I only originally got a model C902 Sony Ericsson mobile as a temporary measure when my other Sony phone finally died, but I must admit to being hugely impressed with it. It's pretty outdated now if you compare it to high performace, internet browser phones like the HTC Wildfire and suchlike, but as a sturdy, reliable, basic phone it's damn near impossible to beat.
