Sony Ericsson W580i is a slider phone from Sony’s Walkman Series. The model is availbable in six different colors: Style White, Boulevard Black, Urban Grey, Metro Pink, Jungle Green and Velvet Red. With a total weight of 94.0 gr (or 3.3 oz) and the measurements 99.0 x 47.0 x 14.0 mm (3.9 x 1.9 x 0.6 inches) Sony Ericsson W580i is a fairly small cell phone. It has an internal memory of 12 MB which can be expanded through Memory Stick Micro (up to 2 GB).

We found ourselves liking the W580i a lot. The Walkman-branded handset has a very good music player, and takes better-than-average photos and has a decent Web browser. This doesn't mean it's without problems, however. We had concerns about the limited music playback battery life, and the hardware feels a little cheap. The Sony Ericsson W580i Walkman phone continues its strong position in music and gaming, and it offers plenty of goodies in a small package. If you to listen music frequently on your phone, this is a great choice at an entry to mid-tier price range. Call quality is excellent and EDGE data speeds are quite good on AT&T. The 2 megapixel camera takes great photos and the M2 slot is very handy to store photos and music tracks. We wish that the phone had better battery life... Read more

There are four things I don't like about my Sony Ericsson W580i: 1. Call quality. It doesn't matter where I'm at, I get bad reception at times...more than I should. 2. Phone in the holster. I bought an extra large hoster to minimize the times my phone turns on while it's in my holster...even when I lock it. 3. Speaker phone. Poor, poor, poor quality. 4. Locks up.
