Sonim XP1 - yellow (unlocked)

CNET
22 March 2009
  • Summary: It may not be pretty, but the Sonim XP1 is a rugged GSM cell phone that's built to last. It offers good call quality, too.
  • Pros: The Sonim XP1 has an extremely durable design. It's easy to use and has good call quality.
  • Cons: The Sonim XP1 navigation controls could be a bit more tactile. Also, speakerphone calls were somewhat muffled.

Sonim XP1 Toughphone

BCCHardware
3 February 2009
  • Summary: Feature and Performance Testing: Before we jump into testing the durability and toughness of the XP1, I thought that I should test the features and performance of this phone before I set out to try and destroy the phone.  We may or may not end up destroying the phone, but I thought it best to see how it worked before we drove over it and dropped it from an unnecessarily high building.
  • Pros: Functional Candy-bar phone, Ridiculously tough., Good T9 Predictive Text Capability, Unlocked and works around the world, Nice tactile feedback on keys, Loud ringer and speaker, Supports Bluetooth headphones
  • Cons: Microphone sometimes quiet, No software included for syncing to Outlook Calendar, Shotgun can neutralize phone and cause battery to explode

Tough Mobile Phone : Sonim XP1

GadgetSpeak
1 October 2008
  • Summary: Never before have I been presented with a working mobile phone and been invited to throw it against a wall and then drop it on a concrete floor. It was still working afterwards; this is a ruggedised mobile phone.

Sonim XP1

PC Pro
13 August 2008
  • Excerpt: The XP1 is touted as a rugged, take-anywhere handset for those with an action-packed lifestyle. The promotional material shows the XP1 fully submerged in water before being snatched out and used to answer a call. Don't try this - disappointingly, it's only shower-proof. Similarly, don't test the shock-proofing too thoroughly - a journalist at a recent press event broke one when he enthusiastically took up Sonim's offer to throw it at a wall.

Sonim XP1 - Cel mai rezistent dintre telefoane

flashgsm.ro
3 September 2013
