  • Excerpt: I got this phone after swopping my new Siemens A60 for it...and I definately got the better deal! It has a nice large screen and although the picture quality is showing its age abit now, it is still good for sending MMS's to your mates on!
  • Pros: Great all rounder
  • Cons: On the large side

  • Excerpt: I have had this phone for 9 months, at first it seemed to be one of the best on the market, now it is one of the worst. The battery life fell to less than one day after just a few months, the infra red has never worked, The camera quality is the worst out there, especially when the zoom function is...
  • Pros: Easy to use, Memory Capacity
  • Cons: Battery Life,  No Java, Camera Quality

  • Excerpt: after purchasing this phone as soon as it come out, i was rather chuffed when reading the manuals and discovering all the great things the sharp phone allows. and although i must say, this phone is a great piece of machinery, to me it actually runs to slow, just like a pc?
  • Pros: like a mini pc
  • Cons: too big

The worst camera phone on the market

  • Excerpt: Take a look at the Sharp GX1 and you will see, that it has a slim design , not at all chunky as you would expect for a phone that has a small digital camera integrated into the back, not as lightweight as some but still not over the top and makes your pocket drag on the floor.
  • Pros: small slimline and not too heavy .
  • Cons: over all not a good design and poor features .

  • Excerpt: The camera is obviously not equivilant to a top of the range digital camera but for a phone it is decent. Fairly good snaps of the subject can be taken in good light and if the subject does not move. It has a decent digital zoom and the phone can store a great deal of photos.
  • Pros: Polyphonic ringtones, large screen, decent camera
  • Cons: Infrared poor, earpiece volume low

  • Excerpt: You could say that im a "phoneaholic" as i own 3 and buy new ones soon as new technology comes out. Previously i had an Ericsson t68, which i found dull and the colour screen was quite poor. So i wanted a new gadget, a phone with a digital camera. So in stepped the Sharp gx1 into my life.

  • Excerpt: I DON'T LIKE IT! Ok? I thought I did but I don't. This was the monstrosity I purchased before I got my new Nokia, and I'm SOOO glad that I took it back. I never thought that i'd need to use 02's 14 day money back guarantee, but I managed to get fed up with this phone in half that time!
  • Pros: Gadget laden, slick looking, inexpensive
  • Cons: fragile !  poor quality pics, overall size

  • Excerpt: ~updated february 2004~ I might have been spoilt before my new Sharp arrived, because I'd been using a Nokia 7650 for a couple of months, before camera phones and media messaging really hit the market in a big way, and in comparison, well, the Sharp is its very inadequate younger cousin.
  • Pros: colour screen, camera etc
  • Cons: not such great quality
