I love this phone

Gina-bina, Phone Scoop

  • Excerpt: I purchased this phone on 4/30/03, around the time it first came out. I paid big bucks for it because it was the latest and greatest, but it was worth it. It takes awesome pictures and has been a great conversation piece whenever I have used it to take pictures. I love the design, the shape, the look, the technology.. everything! I am disappointed to learn that it has been discontinued by Sanyo. My phone recently broke - the joint cracked and then just crumbled.

  • Excerpt: I love this phone! I had several phones one being a crappy Samsung N400 it would crash all the time. This phone is a dream. If you dont have it go and buy one if you dont have the money then ask your mommy and daddy to buy you one!

Ahh finally here...

  • Excerpt: Well haven't got the phone yet, but being a Sprint Employee I've been able to see how the phone works and play around with it a little. First off, the color screens are awesome. Great brilliance, and the beginning menu is slick. The camera is really sharp too, much better than the one you can purchase for the Samsung models. I was hoping for a 40 chord polyphonic ringer, but oh well... The thing that impressed me most was the web browser.

My Initial Review Of the Sanyo 5300

rjmoose, Phone Scoop
3 September 2006
  • Excerpt: I have been playing around with the Sanyo 5300 for the past couple of hours and so far, it is a very impressive phone. The color on the screen and external LCD are very sharp, the camera takes very good quality pictures considering it's built into a phone, and everything else is basically the same as previous Sanyo phones. My only gripe is the earpiece volume is not very loud at all. Either: A. I am old and I need a hearing aid. B.

EAR PIECE VOLUME

djsayegh, Phone Scoop
3 September 2006
  • Excerpt: hello just a little comment I wanted to make about the ear piece volume. The volume itself is not bad, what the true problem is sanyo seems to put the ear piece very high on the flip phone and when we puting the phone to our ear you end up blocking the sound wit your ear. try aiming the ear piece to the center of your ear and not to hold it so high. I had the same problem with the 5150.

  • Excerpt: nice phone. good sanyo quality the only things i didnt like about it was the fact that it didnt have a way to store the pics into the phone like the 8100 did. no speaker phone was also a bummer.

Is The Sanyo-5300 Really Worth It??

WhoGotGme, Phone Scoop

  • Excerpt: I currently have the Sanyo 5150 and I love it. I am thinking about upgrading to the 5300, but I have been hearing some conflicting information on the new phone. I heard that there is a problem with ringers & more. Apparently you have to pay per ringer now if you want to upload it. Is that true? How do I get the $250 credit for the upgrade?

Sanyo 5300 - Dealer's Perspective

jrcunningham, Phone Scoop
3 September 2006
  • Excerpt: I work for a Radio Shack ranked in the Top 20 in the country, and as a result, I've seen nearly every Sprint phone made. This phone destroys the rest of them. So far this year, I've been through an N200, A400, A500, N400, LG 5350, Sanyo 4900, and I bought my Sanyo 5300 today. All I can say is WOW. The reception blew away my A500. The two batteries are exceptional (except there's no way to charge them simultaneously). The camera destroys the camera released by Samsung.

Got the Phone

Stanto, Phone Scoop
3 September 2006
  • Excerpt: Great phone. However Sprint service always has dropped calls. The problem with the phone is that the older version you could download pictures and ringers from your computer without having to pay for internet services or the cost of the ringers.

IM BACK TO THE SANYO.....

msrandall, Phone Scoop
3 September 2006
  • Excerpt: I had the 5150 for awhile and because the Samsung a500 was hyped so much I bought into it. I was happy for 3 months. Then I began to have problems with reception. I waited the storm out until the Sanyo 5300 was released. I have to say this phone is hard (as teenagers say). I love this phone. The screen is bright and the graphics just jump out at you. The reception is great...but with Sanyo thats what you get. I have used 808 minutes since I have gotten the phone..
