Summary: My husband loves this phone since 3-4 years he has the same one over and over again because it's very hard to break God knows he is always letting it fall and I have the latest phone and I don't have reception in our basement he has reception everywhere in elevators even in the subs in NYC but it's a big huge phone sometimes i use it thinking that it's the house phone but besides that this is the best phone ever if u don't care about latest technologies or esthetic...
Summary: I have had this phone since it was new, over 6 yrs! Its been in a drawer for the last few years and I have used it for a phone book. Can't believe the battery still holds a charge for days! This has been a great phone and its clear to talk and very rarely did I get a call dropped on it. I am re-activating it.
Summary: It fits nice in a shirt-pocket and is easily retrievable as it doesn't fall sideways into the bottom of the pocket like flip phones, and then one must struggle to retrieve them, right them, and then flip open in order to answer. It just goes straight to work making and taking calls and an occasional voice mail.
Summary: My original plan will be ending in seven months and I did not want to committ with the cellular provider I am currently with. I purchased the Sanyo 4700 because it was inexpensive as a replacement because my original phone was broken. So far it works well no complaints.
Summary: This phone was a brick. It had the best reception out of any phone I've ever used. I believe this was the phone of the year in 2000. I personally have loved using mine. The speaker was loud and clear. Much better than the new phones, battery life was around 2 hours talk time. The only drawback is the size and non color LCD screen. If it was a bit smaller it would have been perfect.
Summary: The Sanyo SCP 4700 was my second Sanyo phone i ever owned. When i needed a phone to replace my mom's, i choose the 4700 because of the non-flip style, easy operation. Large keys, external speaker, are just a few reasons this phone is a good choice for an older person, or anyone wanting a reliable, easy to use cellular phone.
Summary: This phone is a great buy! I previously had this model and after several years of abuse, my son dunked it in apple juice and killed it. So I purchased a new top o the line nokia on the recommendation of the salesperson, of course. Well, that junky phone didn't last a year. I purchased this one used on ebay and it is great. This model phone gets great reception and is very durable.
Excerpt: This is one of the first of over 25 sanyo phones that i have owned. Still trying 2 find a good enough replacement. When i bought this phone it was 2 replace the sanyo 4000 that i had. I liked this phone so well when I bought it, that i went back to the sprint store and bought more just 2 have when i lost or broke the original.
Excerpt: Not as bad as the SamsungSPH-A460, but it comes close. This phone was large, heavy, had a laughable screen display, and battery life that rivals the reliability of a Kia. In other words, not that good. the pros of this phone- speakerphone cons- everything else. I hate to be so short, but I hated this phone.
