Summary: First, I bought this phone for my father. He's 79, very hard on electronics and a smartphone is out of the question. This unit is a replacement for a similar one he went swimming with...which almost survived. It probably would have if he hadn't tried to dry it in an oven! For people who want a PHONE and just a phone, this unit is perfect.
Summary: personal phone broke and needed a replacement. This was a good quality phone that would work nicely as a replacement and the mil spec was a great addition that will make sure i don't break it. I like the fact that it is a rugged milspec phone. But i do wish it had a camera. I could have found one that did but this will work fine. This product will work just fine in comparison to others that are of the same type.
Summary: This is my 2nd sanyo pro 700 phone, unfortunately after 2years the screen started blinking out off and on, but I really liked the military ruggedness and I got a really good deal on a brand new one. I bought extended batteries and back covers this year for the pro 700 and my girlfriends pro 200 which she hasn't had any problems with. I don'n need a lot of features like the new phones, I will always own some type of military phone, even after these are gone.
Summary: I recently purchased a Sanyo Pro-700. I was using the HTC Hero Android phone and needed a phone that would hold up to the work conditions that I am exposed to. The Sanyo Pro-700 is a good phone in that it is rubber cased and very durable. Everyone that I know working in the oilfield, that have Sprint, has this phone or the Motorola Renegage. The only difference in the two phones is that the Sanyo Pro-700 does not have a camera. Other than that, its a great phone.
Summary: The phone feels fairly sturdy and possibly resistant to many environmental hazards (I really don't know, didn't come with a manual), but it looks and has the texture of rubber wrapped plastic leaning on the lightweight cheap end. It certainly lacks the sleek thin elements of a most contemporary flip phones and has a very plastic "this could be my four year old's play phone" button interface and screen size.
Excerpt: If you are a construction worker, work outside, or need a rugged no nonsense phone this is it! I've dropped it and made calls in the poring rain with no problems. I like being on the Sprint network for phone calls and being able to use the nextel DC for work. Always have good service and call quality. Ringer and speaker phone is LOUD! Great if you're around heavy equipment or machinery. There is no camera. It would be perfect if it had a 2mp.
Pros: Rugged, Good call quality and reception, Easy to use, Not bulky
Summary: I need a sturdy phone for work and this one is better than most but not as rugged as the Sanyo 7050 which I really miss. It is smart looking, more elegant and has all the basic functions, internet, GPS, walkie talkie (not in my area). Sprint keeps moving away from the heavy, military type phones. This phone tends to be the best of both worlds.
Summary: It is a bit older but It works great for the price. I got his phone for my daughter and she have been loving every minute of it. It have all the features she wants, and the web surfing she still can't give over. This is a much have if you can get it at a good price.
Summary: I needed a rugged phone for the work I do. I also liked the long battery life. The price was right and the condition was good. On the negative side, the sound quality is less than I expected and it is pretty big in my pocket.
