Sanyo Katana II Review

Phone Arena
27 August 2007
  • Conclusion: The Katana-II is a modest upgrade from the original Katana model, with a change in styling being the main difference. Since this device’s primary function is as a cell phone, we are pleased that the reception and call quality was top-notch, with no audible static or interference. The phone is constructed well and should hold up to everyday use. The external display is smaller than we would have liked, but the quality of the internal display more than makes up for it.
  • Pros: Updated Styling, Call Quality and Reception, 65K Color QVGA Internal Display, Speakerphone
  • Cons: Small External Display, No MicroSD Card Slot

Sanyo Katana II

PC Magazine
27 August 2007
  • Conclusion: It may be hard to get excited about Sanyo's very slight upgrade to the Katana model that was released last year. Even so, this slim and trim phone will enjoy strong appeal among voice-centric Sprint customers.
  • Pros: Slim and attractive. Loud. Sanyo has a great reputation for reliability.
  • Cons: There's some distortion at top volume. Very basic feature set. Our model had a bug in its vibrate mode.
