Very attractive phone, a little outdated functions
3 October 2010
Summary: pro: Very good looking phone, easy to use, has camera, bluetooth, web access. cons: camera is less than 1 megapixel, limited functions compared with current cellphones. Overall: Nice basic cellphone, good signal, easy to use, decent battery life, basic photos, web access works well with sprint 3G.
Summary: I like this particular model for its' simplicity. If you have a DATA plan with sprint, this model DOES support Sprint Telenav GPS software which can be downloaded from sprint's online store free of charge. Also this device can handle Sprint Mobile E-mail and Opera 4.1 Turbo. Basically I can surf the internet just as if I had a computer with Opera installed. It is amazing that this lower class device can do a lot of the same functions as the expensive ones. All in all...
Summary: I was using my backup phone but it broke so I ordered this katana to replace it. i am due for an upgrade soon and will be changing back to a blackberry but for the mean time will be using this one. it is a great, user friendly and basic phone.
Summary: Like the phone because it is: Rugged, battery lasts forever and nice picture, features. Recommend to anyone! Decided to buy for all the features listed above- and the good price (this was a replacement phone for same model that was damaged in a football game)
Excerpt: this was my phone before i switched to the new lg lotus(which i dont really like).i only switched because i wanted a change. what can i say?i like getting new phones, just for that reason. but this time,i wish i had stayed with the katana. PROS -the texting. i thought this was by far the easiest phone to text on(t9). -great reception. -good sound quality -good batter life. it barely ever went dead on me.
Excerpt: Great phone. I've been a sanyo fan for years because of how solidly built they're phones are and the great reception they get. But I was always disappointed with the software interface/features. I went to Samsung once for a bit because the features were better but the phone was cheap and toy-like and slow. SO... Now Sanyo has the DLX and they did it so well. Way to close the gaps!! I've had this phone for a year and really am psyched about it.
Excerpt: Good phone with lots of features. Camera is decent, comes with 128MB microsd card AND a 1gb microsd card (from letstalk.com). lightweight and slim, and long talk time so your battery lasts a while. One thing i hate about this phone is that YOU CANNOT SET MP3 RINGERS!!!! Have to emphasize that since phonescoop says that you can upload your own ringers. MP3 and M4A(AAC) haven't worked so far (and I've tried on 3 different phones).
Excerpt: Overall, I was satisfied with this phone. It includes allot of handy features. One bad thing about this phone: it is not a phone for heavy texters. I learned this the hard way. The buttons are not the biggest and there is a short delay to when you press them. You kinda have to press them hard and slow for the phone to register. Another thing that you have to get used to is when you open and close the phone, it makes a clicking sound.
