Do yourself a favor and don't buy this phone

Cake Baby, Amazon
21 April 2013
  • Summary: I've had this phone for only 10 months and after a steady onslaught of problems it finally stopped working entirely today. It was cheaply made and came with a small crack on the casing when I ordered it which spread and left a hole in the side of the phone. In February the camera started to get green lines across the screen and then would force close every time you tried to take a picture.

The worst Boost phone I have ever had.

LSTAR, Amazon
9 April 2013
  • Summary: The Samsung Transform Ultra is the worst of the Boost phones I have had. I have been a loyal Boost customer for five years. Their traditional cell phones were great, like the Sanyo Juno. They were good, durable, long lasting phones for talking and texting. The Transform Ultra was my first Android Smart phone. The battery life died after about 4 hours of streaming, playing music, and surfing the internet. It turns itself on and off, freezes, and takes grainy pictures.

Absolute HORRIBLE....Keep on searching for another phone TRUST ME

jaywilliams2479, Ebay
2 March 2013
  • Summary: The phone is a decent phone but the battery is absolutely HORRIBLE on this device. I constantly have to power the phone off to avoid the battery from completely draining. The approximate battery life from a full battery to completely drained and shutting off is anywhere from 45 mins to 1 hr.

Hating It

Anne, Amazon
31 December 2012
  • Summary: This was a gift for someone who has Boost. He took it to several stores where he normally goes with his prior phone. None of them could help him. I'm not sure how he finally got it to work but when it's on, it works. Here's the problem. When the phone is on and goes on save mode, you tap the power button and it comes back on. However, if it just sits idle, it shuts off. It doesn't turn back on by holding down the power button as it should.

I'm Sorry, but i was extremely disappointed with this product.

Jaz, Amazon
20 November 2012
  • Summary: I received it late August & it was clearly a refurbished phone I was under the impression I was getting a new phone. It came with a Japanese battery that never was able to hold a charge from day one. I felt other than the battery it should be alright however even with the new battery it just continued to glitch out. As of having it for a month IF that, it shuts off ALL THE TIME...unless it is plugged into the charger.

No Mobile Hotspot!

Eric B. Wolf "Geek of Many Trades", Amazon
19 February 2012
  • Summary: No Mobile Hotspot: I spent $80 more to get the Samsung Transform Ultra instead of the Samsung Galaxy Prevail Android Smartphone (Boost Mobile) for one main reason: Mobile Hot-Spot. Everything I read talked about the Ultra's "Hotspot" capability. It's actually built-in to Android 2.3, which the Ultra uses. No one seemed to state whether or not Boost had disabled that capability in the phone. Maybe I should have asked for a demo at the store...
