Summary: Didn't realize how dumbed-down this one is compared to newer version. Really does not have many extras. It works with ATT with no problems. Camera is adequate. Screen is so small when one texts have to use a stylus to keep from hitting 'a when need 's etc.
Summary: We bought this phone and by the third day it wasn't holding a charge. We would charge it over night and the next morning the battery would go dead after making one or two phone calls. We are constantly having to charge it throughout the day. The phone itself is pretty nice, but the battery life sucks.
Summary: Got this phone almost a month ago and was very happy until the manual buttons stopped working. Cannot deal directly with seller (BREED) to work an exchange so will have to send to Samsung for service. Amazon will only accept a return (we pay shipping). Did not see comments about this issue on Amazon reviews, but once it happened I saw quite a few comments about this issue in the google search.
Summary: I purchased this phone as a replacement for my BlackBerry Curve. Unfortunately I wish I would have bought a different phone because this ranks among one of the worst I have ever owned. Although the touch screen features are nice, what good is your phone to you if you have to charge it TWICE a day, EVERY day, regardless of how much you use it??? For example, I left my phone on the charger for approximately 10 hours during the night.
Excerpt: I was excited to finally own another touchscreen phone after being stuck with a propel for a while. The solstice was promising, a fully touch display with 3g and a rotating keypad. I'm very sad to say that it's going to take a bit of time for me to heal from these wounds. The touchscreen is not responsive, and the keypad is buggy. The A9 is horrible and does not recognise common words.
