Excerpt: I was excited to finally own another touchscreen phone after being stuck with a propel for a while. The solstice was promising, a fully touch display with 3g and a rotating keypad. I'm very sad to say that it's going to take a bit of time for me to heal from these wounds. The touchscreen is not responsive, and the keypad is buggy. The A9 is horrible and does not recognise common words.
Summary: I brought this phone because I was changing phone's company and I need a phone that take a sim card. So, I brought this one due to the price because I need to buy two phones. What I like about the phone that it's small and price. I guess that the only thing that I can good about this phone. Okay here we go......the BAD part 1. When type or texting you can press the a letter and you might see the letter e on the sceen.....now that not fun 2.
Summary: I recently bought the SGH A887 Solstice as a gift for my wife. She had been struggling along with an older model phone that was incredibly difficult to text with because the keys were so small and I thought this phone would be better. Upon opening the package we discovered that the phone charger was broken and there were no instructions manual. This leads me to believe that the phone was actually not new as advertized.
Pros: Comfortable in hand. Easy to use. Feels sturdy.
Cons: Can't delete preset pictures that take up data. Without screen protector scratches easy when scrolling (you need pressure to use this type of touch screen). Can't use universal head phones. Speaker phone either works really well or not at all. Freezes onc
"Convenient and quiet, but unreliable touchscreen"

Pros: I really like using the touchscreen, it has a wide variety of characters available. So far the Solstice has been sturdy, it has great battery life, and I like the organization of its messaging.
Cons: The touchscreen is unreliable, sometimes no response and then a stutter, sometimes calls don't go or come through. Common commands, such as silent are hard to find quickly. The camera is marginal at best, its controls non-intuitive.
"I hate Samsung and would never buy their product again."

Pros: Phone is set up very well and is user friendly.
Cons: Bad static on both user and listeners end. Volume is very low so it is hard to hear the other person. Touch screen sticks. Virtual keyboard will no longer calibrate correctly. Phone won't allow for software updates.
