Summary: After looking for a new phone for several months, I finally found one within a decent price range(50 & under) that meets all my needs. This phone was declared the slimmest phone in 2006. It has speakerphone, PC connectivity, mp3 player and all the other features of a decent modern phone. Navigation through the menus isn't always easy, specifically with texting, but overall I'm extremely pleased with this phone. It does have some downsides.
Summary: This ultra slim phone is very function and useable. I was surprise by the sound quality of the calls and the speaker quality when playing music. Samsung has packed quite a few good features in this phone despite is small size. The 2MP camera is okay, but could use a flash and be a little better quality. If you need something small, pocket size then do not hesitate buying this phone.
SGH X820 - The best ever Slim mobile phone by Samsung
15 July 2009
Excerpt: It could be called the anorexic mobile phone. Had a "brick" by Nokia called N70, the worst I ever had. Had a U600 and a U800 both by Samsung, a gentle offer by the network providers. My wife had a tocco (pink) that she hardly could understand what the people on the other side of the connection were saying End up always returning to my dear X820.
Excerpt: Every phone manufacturer seems to have their own way of structuring the menu system, this Samsung was no exception. Luckily it was very quick and easy to learn and most items are in a logical place. I keep looking for the alarm clock in settings, rather than applications, as used to use a Nokia. I have some problems inputting the symbols in SMS messages, but I only sent the occasional SMS message.
Excerpt: I was given this phone for my birthday in may to replace an older clamshell Samsung phone. I have been happy with it ever since, and still look at it from time to time and ask how they squeezed it all in. At an impressive and sexy 6.9mm thick, this phone will clearly not look outdated for quite some time. The camera produces high enough quality shots to be viewed at full screen on a PC.
Excerpt: The Samsung SGH-X820 is a fantastic mobile phone, it offers style and sophistication in a tiny, thin package. I have spent the last couple of years working on and repairing mobile phones, I have to say that this is a fantastic phone. When I first saw the phone I thought it would be flimsy and break as soon as I touched it, how wrong could I be! After using this phone for the past year, without any failures I have totally fallen in love with it.
Pros: Good Build Quality, Looks, Feel, Good set of features .
Excerpt: nice sleek and sophisticated mobile phone. loved it at first as it looked so sophisticated and simple. I was so attracted to the looks of it that i swapped my sony ericsson w850i for it. However, I realized after just three weeks that what I did was a big mistake! total mistake. the phone was fine for two weeks but after that, it kept on shutting itself so it was on and off for a day.
Excerpt: A very nice phone, extremely compact and thin (I believe the thinnest on the market), which makes it great for storing in pockets and small bags. It doesnt let up on features though, to say it is so small. The screen is large and bright, keys are a good size and easy to press. There is an MP3 player, bluetooth, gprs capability, calendar, alarm, 2Mp camera (which shows suprisingly clear pictures when transferred to a pc).
Pros: Small, compact, good button size, quality of screen
Excerpt: I got this phone recently - and I have to say I just love it. It is sitting on my desk now... it looks so cute! It is such a sexy phone - just look at it, it's beautiful. Now, lets get on to the review. Looks-wise, i think it scores 10 out of 10 - but that's down to personal preference. Friends of mine have said it looks like a calculator out of the 80s! So that's completely your opinion.
Pros: Thinnest phone ever - no VPL (visible phone line), 2MP Camera, easy to use, plays MP3s etc .
Cons: No flash, limited memory, screen scratches easily
