  • Excerpt: Only the MicroSD slot is missing... otherwise this phone is really great! So light, and still no functionality missing, really. Even an MP3 player is provided. Incredible work by Samsung.

Unbelievably sexy and thin but...."

Manu K., Newegg
15 November 2006
  • Summary: The camera quality is good but I would say...."I've seen better". This phone is amazing and I love it but if your not willing to get used to the few flaws I've mentioned about, don't bother thinking about this phone. If your an extensive user of the cell phone, forget the Samsung X820.
  • Pros: Compared to my previous phone; Motorola V620, this phone is a 100 times faster. I've compared it with my friends' Nokia and Sony Ericsson phones and even other Samsung phones and well, I gotta be honest, nothing came close to being this quick in messaging (sms). The screen is very clear & crisp. ...
  • Cons: Horrible battery life. You NEED an extra battery so keep those extra bucks for it. T9 has to be switched on every single time you select 'create message', this can get annoying but I guess you just need to get used to it, but still 'annoying', if you reply to a message you received T9 will be swi...

  • Pros: This is certainly the best cell phone I've owned. It's incredibly thin and spurs a lot of attention. The screen is solid and mp3 sound is powerful for a tiny phone. Battery life is better than I anticipated.
  • Cons: I play with it at work too much.

Samsung X820

istevanovich, CNET
6 September 2006
  • Summary: This is a great phone - if you mainly use it for calls, texting, and MMS. Call quality is solid and it's easy to text. Charge it nightly and it's a champ. Heavy use runs down the battery - but a solid performer - even in the US!
  • Pros: Easy to carry, solid functionality
  • Cons: Battery life

Not bad

Linda P., Newegg
13 August 2006
  • Summary: I also have the RAZR and this doesn't seem to get quite as good reception on the same network. This may just be an anomoly due to my geographic location but seems to get less bars on average.
  • Pros: Very nice design, thinnest phone I've ever seen. About 1/2 as thin as the RAZR. Plays mp3s and some videos. Nice 2MP camera. Very light weight. Am extremely happy with it, bought it because of its size (I carry 3 phones) but love the featuers.
  • Cons: Wouldn't it be great if this thing had a micro sd card! only 70mb om memory can't fit much music I use it mainly for podcasts. Only complain about this phone but hey you can't fit everything in a phone this small!
