Summary: I'm still learning how to use this phone. I was looking for a phone that had buttons that I could feel, larger enough to see and was a slider phone. Of course being red was a desire and made the purchase even better. The camera is great and the dialing is easy. It has many features that I didn't expect and I am enjoying the phone.
Excerpt: I've had this phone for 1 year after I lost it.It's a great phone with a 3.2 mp camera, it would be a amazing phone but it's pritty slow and when you take a picture it takes ages to take one, it should have a secondery cam at the front for video calling and have 3g. It supports most file types even word doccuments, the touch tone buttons are great when you get used to them.It looks pritty nice and it's way slim, it's the slimmist phone i've had ever.
Pros: Nice design Slim Good media player Easy to use
Excerpt: if you are looking for a durable phone this is not it because i have had mine for 8 months now and after about 2 i thought it was going to fall apart as i could slide a credit card between the two layers.
Pros: seperate rings for allerts, size, web browser, large display
Cons: not durable, scratches really easy, calls on its own
Excerpt: The U600 is an overall good phone. When you take it out of the box, don't remove the front plastic protector until you pruchase something durable, search on ebay for screen protectors for it. It is worth the money. Mine was scratched within 5 hours of using it after putting in my pocket, not sure how else to carry the phone around. I don't think there are too many cell cases that work with slider phones.
Summary: The phone is beautiful, both in design and its display. It is the slimmest phone I have ever had and has an amazing 3.2 MP camera. Call quality was not great. And unfortunately, I am going to replace this phone tomorrow. I used to get service in my apartment, ...
Pros: every where you can travel with this mobil, Really thin, easy to text, good pictures, fun image editor, fun games,, Gorgeous design, super slim, great display, amazing camera
Cons: The way you have to used the Radio.., Thumb rests on touch screen call button and calls first person in recent contacts, slow picture taking, only 2 themes, Poor call quality, bad signal, can't send MMS on AT&T
Summary: I bought this phone last January (2008). Firstly i must say i love Samsung products, they really do create good looking items. However, one shouldn't judge by looks like i did. I originally liked the style of this phone and of course i still do, it was one of the thinnest slide phones in the world at it's release.
Summary: So I've had the U600 for a good few months now and I'm ready to share some of my thoughts on this phone. It's good, but not great. Bottom line is I doubt I'll be buying a Samsung phone again though, but I'll get to the reasons for that later. It's not that I've had any major issues with it, more like lots of small ones. I'll start with the good stuff. The U600 is attractive, slim and lightweight and slips easily into the pocket, going largely unnoticed once there.
Summary: I've had this since Christmas 2008, and was drawn by the aesthetics of the sleek lines and functionality of synchronization with a PC for calendars etc. Other than that, I didn't ask for much more from a phone. Please note: I've just read this review and it all seems negative. It's not that bad really (I have sent phones back before now but still have this one!) I just want people to know some of the downsides that you can't tell from just reading specifications.
Summary: Firstly mine isn't the unlocked it's vodafone PAYG, but I'm reviewing the U600 handset here so that doesn't matter. As many other people have mentioned the touch sensitive buttons on the front are stupid, they are too sensitive and it's inconsistent having some touch buttons and some press ones. I also find the actual number buttons a little harder to use than my previous RAZR V3, so texting is a bit slower.
