Summary: Back in 2009 when I was due for an upgrade, there was a larger selection of non-smart phones to choose from. Having come from a Samsung SGH-X495, I was very eager to upgrade to a better phone. I didn't feel like paying a data plan for the My-Touch 3G yet I would have wanted touch screen features on my phone. I went with the Highlight. The battery lasts a long time, the longest I've gotten was a whole week, but it usually lasts for 4-5 days on a full charge.
Pros: Battery lasts around 5 days when charged all the way up, phone is very durable (with exception of the touch screen), TouchWiz OS is very easy to use. Camera has mediocre photo quality.
Cons: Useless after about 1-2 years because it starts to lock up, turns on and off by itself, etc. (Read summary) Signal can lie sometimes. Touch screen is plastic yet scratches easily; but what's to expect? Terrible photo/video quality in low light.
Summary: Nice phone but my wife hates it. Bought this for my wife for Christmas to replace her old Nokia 6010 that was basically falling apart. She uses T-Mobile and while the old phone still worked FLAWLESSLY (ie. rarely a dropped call, text, etc) this Samsung is flaky at best. Places in the house and around the neighborhood where the old phone worked this new phone doesn't.
Summary: i send back the cell phone beacuse it doesn't read/write hebrew and didn't get anoter one yet....i sent it back and the sekker dosen't answer me yet and i don't know what to do beacuse the pay already taken from me..
Summary: I have reviewed several phones. Of all the Phones I reviewed the Samsung SGH-T139 is without being partial to other phones is the least favorite of all. Not a phone for globetrotting. It does have a simple low-res camera and medievel web browser but for people who would consider this phone would most likely be looking for a solid voice communications device. This is not it. As mentioned in my review of the Motorola V195 there is no comparison.
Excerpt: This is the deal, I've had this phone for 2 months. with time, problems have emerged. I have problems with echos; either I hear it or the person at the other end hears echos. I have calls drop frequently. When I have the phone next to my ear I hear these annoying internal humming-type sounds from the the internal computer doing whatever it does, and this has gotten louder with time. I have installed a new SIM card as suggested by TMobil, but problems persist.
Summary: I went to the T-Mobile store very excited about this phone. I am looking for a smart phone but will not buy an iPhone as long as it's locked into AT&T and I really don't want to buy the Google MyTouch phone. Their recent ham-fisted and ...
