easy to use and a good buy as a used unit....
9 April 2013
Summary: I have had one of these for years and like the slider feature. When the screen went white, purchasing a slightly used one was the solution. The unit looked almost new, meeting the seller's ad that it was in great shape and a store demo. Very happy and avoided a more expensive/questionable repair of the old/worn unit.
Summary: The SGH-t739 provides great coverage utilizing its Wi-Fi ability to transition between Wi-Fi calling and T-Mobile's wireless network. Capture those fleeting moments with the embedded 1.3 megapixel camera and use your existing instant messager service to keep in touch with friends. I got this phone used because the person I got it from switched networks. I slipped my SIM card in there, and it sprang to life.
Simple and reliable phone. I keep coming back for more!

Summary: I've had 3 different generations of the Samsung Katalyst phones and I keep going back to them. I have a smart phone for work so i don't need all of the fancy hi-tech bells and whistles for a personal phone. I just need to make calls and text to my family members. This phone is a nice size. Not big and bulky and not so small that you can't even see what's on your screen. But it's a solid phone with some weight to it. THe slider option is awesome.
Summary: Great slider phone offered by Tmobile. Very easy to use and extremely reliable. This product is perfect for someone who wishes to own a simple phone that has a great screen and easy to use camera.
Tmobile Samsung Katalyst- Wi-fi useless unless you pay more
9 September 2012
Excerpt: I ordered my Tmobile Samsung Katalyst online. I was delighted when it came. But after 2 weeks of having it, it started to show problems. The left soft key, and call button (which is also on the left) sometimes don't work. You can press it many times and nothing happens. And when it feels like working, it'll work. I have the key tones on, so, when it works, you'll hear the sound when you press it. So, I sometimes can't make calls.
Excerpt: The Samsung Katalyst is an okay phone. It comes with great features like being able to connect to wireless networks! So if you have t-mobile service I know you can pay a $9.99 a month fee to make unlimited calling local and national any time of the day as long as you are connected to a wi-fi network. This feature comes in handy for me so I can elminate a home phone and not worry about minutes. Most places have wi-fi networks these days(i.e.
Excerpt: The samsung katalyst works o.k. I don't like how the camera is located on the back of the phone because when you put the phone face down the face gets scratched, and if you put it down face up, the camera lens gets dirty. Also the pictures taken by the phone is poor quality.
Excerpt: the samsung katalysts is a professional looking phone. its best feature is that it is user friendly. it dose have its down side to. the two i own like to turn off by itself and sometimes dosent hold a charge. it can be a really good phone for those who like tmobil as a carrier for service. just be aware that every device has both un upside and a down side.
Excerpt: This is without a doubt the best phone I have ever had. T-mobile just keeps getting better and better. I have never had a dropped call and reception is great unlike my friends with Verizon. The phone is easy to use, great sound quality, beautiful display and looks and feels top notch. I tried the Motorola Rizr Z3, it doesn't even come close to the quality and performance of the Samsung SGH-T739. I am totally thrilled with this phone. I love it!
Excerpt: I used to have this for a phone from T-Mobile. I got it for free with a 2-year contract and it has lasted for me for a good while. This phone is probably the most durable phone I had, I dropped it atleast 20 times and there are still no scratches on the screen. Although there are scratches on the sides and stuff, I didn't find any on the screen. The phone is really easy to use and has big buttons for people that have a hard time seeing.
