Summary: This phone is perfect for my job, very simple and fit all my needs. I'm work in the construction trade and everything need to be tough, despite i protect it, i can't avoid drop it or lightly hit it or scrash it agains walls or columns accidently and this phone still keep me in touch with my customers and love ones.I spend a lot of time in my truck and i can't use the touch screen ones when i drive, with this one only i have to do is slide it and press any botton.

Summary: I bought this to replace a very basic cell phone. It was new in the box and in great working order. It gets the job done! Was not interested in the newer smart phones, just wanted basic cell for talking and texting. The camera is a nice extra, especially for the price.
Summary: This is my second t659 slider. For my needs, this phone is perfect. E-mail, text, web surfing and picture mail was easy. 3G capable, this got me to win many ebay autions in the last minute. Had my first one 2 years and the screen just shut off and never came back on but phone still worked. The slide function was starting to get sticky. Call quality is 5 star with dropouts I can count on one hand in 2 years. Light and slim it packs a lot into a small package.
Summary: The phone is for someone who doesn't want it to get "too complicated" but wants to be able to check facebook and do email. It is working great. The signal doesn't seem as strong as the old phone is the only thing but all in all - a great phone for the money that's simple to use.
Summary: This is the last of the great simple Samsung sliders IMO. There has been a few others that have came out but just feel really cheap and not well made. I've owned a T809 and two T629's, all Samsung sliders. I have never felt the need for a smart phone and these have served me well for years, all I do is talk, text and picture messages. This phone is small and easy for guy to carry around in skinny jeans without felling like your pocket is 9months pregnant.
Summary: I purchased this phone to avoid the 2 year contracts and being tied to one vendor. This way I can change phones or cell phone companies whenever I want. I also did not want a phone that gave me more options beyond my needs. I do not want a smart phone that is smarter then me.
Summary: Great phone for my needs. Wanted to upgrade from what I had but didn't want the touch screen type or anything overly complicated. The T659 was a perfect choice for me. It is a very functional phone with great reception. I haven't lost a call yet which was quite common with my previous phone. Also fancy enough that the kids still think it is a "cool" phone but simple enough I can figure it out. Good choice.
Replaced a SGH T629 with this. But no Voice Dialing.

Summary: I thought for sure that the newer T659 would be an upgrade to my nearly 3 year old SGH T629 (it broke and I needed a quick replacement). There are some nice features about the phone, but the thing that really disappointments me is the lack of voice recognition and voice dialing. This missing and (IMHO) absolutely essential feature was not made clear in T-Mobile's feature list.
