pretty good

  • Summary: I can't assign both a speed dial number and a specialty ring to a phone number, it has to be one or the other. The beep for receiving a text is very low and I can't get it to be louder.
  • Pros: Durable, Lightweight
  • Cons: Did not meet expectations

Awful phone!!!

ML "avid reader", Amazon
19 March 2014
  • Summary: This is an absolutely awful phone that T Mobile offers. I think they purposefully offer a phone with very limited features (worse than the phone I got from them in 2001!) so that you spend money to buy the more expensive models. The battery loses its charge easily and there seems to be no way to get an ear piece. These are just a few of my complaints.

  • Summary: I've had a phone like this one before and was very happy with it. It's sturdy and reliable has all the functions I require. It's my favorite ever, and the price was incredible. Thank you!

This phone will annoy you.

Xapplimatic, Samsung
16 May 2013
  • Summary: The predictive texting (T9 input method) is default on this phone for every text. If you, like me, do not like T9, you have to change this setting every time you type a new message, which wastes countless amounts of time. This aspect of the phone needs to be rethought. It is very annoying to a lot of cell users according to what is read online...
  • Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight
  • Cons: Did not meet expectations, t9 text input is a default that can't be changed!

More than you think

  • Summary: Bad run of luck, my wife washed my phone, I broke the next one, Finally I had my new Gravity stolen. So all I wanted was a cheap basic phone. This phone has more than met my expectations. Plugged it into my computer, transferred a few files and I have photo ID and a great selection of ring tones. I love it and for the price I don't care if I wash it, break it or have it stolen.
  • Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight

Plain and simple...

  • Summary: ...and I like it that way. I'm not about the flash and gadgets. I want a reliable phone, with text and talking, and the bluetooth capability was a bonus. The camera is neat for making picture ID's for my list. My old silver Samsung A660 was six years old, survived many mishaps, and well, for a "disposable" phone, lived longer than most of my friends expensive smart phones.
  • Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, changeable font sizes and colours, decent sized brightly lit keypad buttons

Poor Battery Performance

DaMenehune, Samsung

  • Summary: Had this phone for a month now and disappointed with performance of battery. It does not seem to hold the charge but for about two days and this with not much use. Used only for talking with no texting, photos, Internet, or Bluetooth. Could be a bad battery. Phone very good, otherwise.
  • Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight
  • Cons: poor battery performance

Very Good Value

FlipUser, Samsung

  • Summary: My wife and I both have this phone. Low price from T-mobile. We both like the phone except for one thing-the volume button is on the side and gets mashed almost anytime one picks up the phone or even while talking. I would give the phone four stars overall but had to give it only one star for 'design'. My four stars would be for the overall value and features for a low-priced, simple flip phone.
  • Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight, value overall
  • Cons: volume control

text messaging

megen, Samsung
21 October 2012
  • Summary: The sound on an incoming text message is very low. Unless the phone is in my pocket or sitting beside me, I cannot hear the incoming text message. This phone is supposed to be an "upgrade" from the previous model, but I am really not happy with it.
  • Pros: Built-in speakers, Inexpensive, Lightweight
  • Cons: Did not meet expectations
