Conclusion: Samsung F480’s price in Europe is about $600 and the big question is “What are you getting for your money?”. Impressive design combined with TouchWiz interface which although drawing the attention, is not very comfortable to use. The phone also offers many mediocre functions. Only the camera can be considered of relatively good. Is it worth buying the F480? Definitely not, considering the limited capabilities, the awful sound, and the price tag.
Pros: Impressive appearance, Good outdoor picture quality, Attractive design of the TouchWiz interface
Cons: Annoying lag in the menus, Widgets with limited functionality, Mediocre multimedia capabilities, Bad sound quality during a talk
Conclusion: The camera counts the impressive 5 megapixels and comes with autofocus, power LED flash, image and video stabilization. Of course, there is audio and video player with multiple file format support, as well as FM Radio with RDS. The impressive TouchWiz user interface and navigation are the final ingredients for making the classy performer.
Summary: The reception quality was never an issue with the Samsung F480, as it was in line with other offerings available in this class. Our ring tones had average volume or a tad lower than that – we would miss our calls even with the F480 in our pocket often enough. The vibro alert was moderate strength-wise, retaining no edge over other Samsung-branded solutions.
Conclusion: Overall: The Samsung F480 is really a mobile fashion statement in its own sense. It has a lot of features that makes it very convenient for business transactions and communication purposes. It has the technology that can simplify your life and save you money. This is since the SGH-F480 has all the features of a camera , a video cam, an organizer, a phone, a laptop or computer, and even an MP3 player among others.
Pros: The best feature of the, Samsung SGH-F480, would be its TouchWiz UI technology which is proven to be very innovative, easy and fun to use. The widgets attribute that it has will really give you the time of your life. You can drag it as often as you like. It also enables you to go through the menus and screens very easily. Hence, it is very convenient if you are a very busy type who rarely has the opportunity to fiddle with time. This is especially convenient if you ar...
Cons: The least desirable feature of the, Samsung F480, would be its small face touch screen user interface. With its small size, it's a bit hard to compose text messages. This is since the letters would be a bit small to press with your fingertips. You may end up touching a wrong letter. Thus, this may result to your actual wasting and spending of time on correcting your mistakes through frequent backspacing.
Summary: The Samsung Tocco F480 is a touchscreen device. Unfortunately, it isn't going to beat the iPhone, or HTC's latest offerings. But the good news is this: it's miles better than the practically useless Samsung F490 – and this is definitely a good thing. In terms of actual quality of touchscreen, we'd say the Tocco F480 falls somewhere between HTC and the iPhone – although, to say it's equal to either would be something of a gross exageration.
Summary: S imply striking is the luxurious, compact design of the Samsung TouchWiz. People that adore trendy novelties will not be able to ignore this device. The bright, heat-sensitive LCD touch screen is very responsive and a joy to work with. The menu structure is logical and scrolling through the menu is accompanied by nice graphic effects and sounds. Some options don't even require the menu, thanks to the widgets in the standby mode of the cell phone.
