Summary: We purchased this phn thinking it would be a good alternative to the bulky sliders we have, but within minutes of receiving them we realized they would not work for us but decided to give them a try anyway. The key pad is so small that the tip of my smallest finger covers 4 keys and texting is a nightmare, not only that the user interface is so confusing my wife wanted to throw the thing out the window as we were driving down the road.
THIS IS MY 2ND SAMSUNG A 177 AND MY EXPERIENCE WITH BOTH HAS BEEN POSITIVE
28 August 2013
Summary: THIS IS THE SECOND SAMSUNG A 177 I HAVE OWNED AND A PHONE THAT I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL OUT THERE. I AM NOT A TECHNO WIZARD AND THIS PHONE WAS MADE JUST BEFORE ALL THE NEW PHONES NOW GOT SO TECHNICAL I DONT GET ANY OR UNDERSTAND ANY OF THEM. THE SAMSUNG A 177 I JUST GOT IS A 2009 MODEL, YET I GOT IT BRAND NEW OUT OF THE BOX AND COULDNT BE HAPPIER.
Summary: This phone works fine and is about what I expected. What I didn't realize is that it is a recycled ATT Gophone. Notice the AT&T logo on the phone. Notice when you dial "611" the message "Refill your account" appears on the screen. I paid $59 for this phone which at the time I thought was a fair price, but I can buy a similar phone from ATT as a Gophone for considerably less. They have discontinued this particular model as a Gophone, but similar phones are available.
Summary: No one could hear me on the other end of any phone calls. (But I could hear them). It wouldn't hold a charge. Signal is very weak. The battery doesn't "click" into place and the back of the phone won't either. The back is not secure and just pops right off.
Excerpt: This phone is an economical way to get alot of features for a small price. Clear reception convenient small this size, many features accessable with one button. One major down sides is small very close together numbers, but does have large memory to list all contacts Long talk time on fully charged battery.
Excerpt: The phone was slow and the buttons are so close together it takes alot of time to text on it. My husband bought the phone and it is so small and difficult to use that it either would slip out of his hand or he would not be able to text correctly on it.
Excerpt: I LOVE THIS PHONE! IT LIKE A BLACKBERRY BUT WITHOUT THE EXPENSIVE COST THAT COMES WITH A BLACKBERRY. oNLY THING ABOUT THIS PHONE IS THAT THE BUTTON ON THIS PHONE ARE KIND OF SMALL AND PEOPLE WITH REALLY LARGE HAND SHOULDN'T USE THIS PHONE. THE AMOUNT OF SPACE ON THE PHONE SHOULD BE INCRESED, THIS PHONE ALSO HAS A GREAT BATTERY LIFE IF YOU LIKE TO TXT OR TALK A LOT. THE ACCESSORIES FOR THIS PHONE ARE VERY CHEAP TO BUY. CURRENTLY NOW I HAVE NO PROBLEMS NOW WITH THE PHONE.
Excerpt: I got this phone about a week ago, and so far i am sort of impressed, Not alot to do on the phone, no games or anything fun, but I do like the phone, i cant lie, it is pretty stinkin amazing haha I got mine at radio shack the activated it for me but it was a smooth process, the phone is great, the key board is awesome, and i like the size, fits in your hand, the screens cool to, nice and big, the battery holds a charge pretty well to, all and all a good deal
Excerpt: This phone I have been using fro awhile and I am not impressed at all with it. You recieve some message that contain pictures and /or songs/music and if you want to forward it to a friend, etc. it will tell you that it content has exceeded the max. content and can not be forwarded. I don't understand how you can recieve it but then can't send it out. This is just really dumb if you ask me. My previous phone I had before cost less and did more......Why is that like that?
