Dead in the shadow of the 3210

Genie, Ciao
14 June 2001
  • Excerpt: "A very sexy looking phone! OOOOOh with vibration too!!! Seriously, this phone looks the biz. But being used to the Nokia 3210(see my review) I found this user unfriendly. Main things I missed were on the alarm feature, no snooze and no symbol on the display to confirm you had set it. Really annoying, because you just have to go into the menu and make sure. No games, which I do enjoy playing when I am waiting around for something or someone. ...
  • Pros: Loud ring .  Sexy
  • Cons: Having to charge so often and fiddling with the rubber cover .

Great Phone

  • Excerpt: "The SGH2400 is great phone from Samsung. I'll get straight to the point why, and just do a run through of all its features, that way you can make up your own mind whether I'm right or not! It is much easier to remember the features of a phone if set out in a list, so here goes..... Voice activated dialling weighs 90grams Vibrate alert, available on silent mode or accompanied by a ringtone Active flip (i.e. opening and closing flip answers ...
  • Pros: Vibrate, dual band, hands free included
  • Cons: Reception not always brilliant

Small, light and discreet

  • Excerpt: "...connecting to the internet. The Samsung one retails at £99 which I think is a bit steep. Update (May 2001) ================= Nearly 6 months down the line and I am still on the whole happy with the phone. I have had no reliability issues with it. I find the battery needs charging more often than I would like, the phone goes from showing 2/3 battery capacity to 0/3 rather too quickly. I have found the voice memo record feature, which I initially ...

The best phone on the market?

MC, Ciao
2 August 2000
  • Excerpt: "...in their range... Best value Samsung would have to go to this phone's younger brother, the SGH - 600. But overall there isn't a bad thing that you could say about this phone. Besides being Dual Band, and having looks that could kill from a mile away, this little beauty is absolutely packed with useful features. 1. Ever had that brilliant idea, or urgent memo, yet not had a pen and pad to hand? Buy this phone and... You have a four page voice memo, ...
  • Pros: Features, Looks, Ease of Use
  • Cons: Lack of Protective Case,  Costs twice as much as its younger brother .  .  .

great dual band phone

cellnetsm..., Ciao
21 July 2000
  • Excerpt: "The more expensive of the Samsung series but looks exactly the same as the cheaper SGH600. It has a nice unique active flip, free hands free kit and the ability to make calls by just the call of the name. However, it has annoying buttons on the side which I don't particularly agree with. This phone is dual band which is probably the only advantage over the cheaper SGH600. If you don't need dual band then it is not really worth spending an extra 20 ...

A phone well worth its price

kookhyun, Ciao
17 July 2000
  • Excerpt: "...much better version of the Samsung SGH 600. First of all I would recommend it over other products of the same class like Nokia 3210 and Bosch 909 because first of all the design is much more appealing. Next it comes with active dialling and voice activation with allows you to make calls just by opening the flip. It comes with 17 ring tones, nothing too fancy but hey who needs 40 ring tones anyway? The phone is extremely small and it is a bit bigger ...
  • Pros: cheap, voice dialling, dual band, world time, very small and light and hands free comes with it
  • Cons: no games or composer and it has an aerial which looks weird when you expand it

Samsung SGH 2400

vesponethebest, Ciao
