Summary: It is a used phone that performs like a used phone. Battery life is ok, they sent two batteries one was junk and wouldnt last a day even if I didnt use it. The other lasts about a day and a half. The phone started having issues 2 weeks after I purchased it. But you get what you pay for, no deals here.
Summary: Was great in helping me when the phone did not charge, the only thing was the phone they sent was not as good as the one that would not charge. But I was pleased that they did exchange it. Have purchased from they before so that is why I bought through them again.
Summary: This phone is a basic model, comfortable for those who are not familiar with newer technology, but has enough features for those who wish to dabble. Texting is naturally not as fast as on a phone with a full keyboard, but itap word prediction helps compensate for this. In a similar fashion, while web access is more limited than a modern smart phone, the large screen presents a smoother interface than most flip phones in its class.
Summary: Great phone! I was nice not having to purchase a two year service plan from the company. The instructions to activate the phone on the website provided, was very easy to follow. I receive the phone when promised.
Summary: Overall, I like this phone. The signal strength is good, it supports Bluetooth and you can use it both as a CDMA and GSM phone. That's a nice feature if you use CDMA in the US and travel abroad and want to keep using the same phone. I don't use the media player, so I cannot comment on that.
Excerpt: After reading all great reviews I opted for this phone when switching to Verizon.
I'm sorely disappointed.
Many of the calls the person on the other side doesn't hear me as well, even with whisper more enabled.
I hear the other side often clipped so the the word "clipped" will sound like "lippe"
Software has bugs....
Dialed calls show wrong names for phone numbers.
Excerpt: Between my wife and I, we've used about 10 different cellphone w/Verizon (going back to AirTouch days). We've had Motorola, Samsung and LG. I travel to Europe for work occasionally and got tired of ordering the temp Motorola world phone. It was time for an upgrade to my Samsung SCH-A990 (not a bad phone).
The Renown has been a great phone: ease of use, reception/transmission, quality, and camera have work nicely. This is been my favorite phone to date.
Excerpt: This phone is built with a ton of features that are great to have in a cell phone. I can describe all the features but I think others have mentioned all the pro’s already and I concur.
But unfortunately the con’s have to be mentioned as well, which are a part of this review. This phone does not like to be paired with other devices via “Bluetooth”. Once paired the phone gets stuck into a none ending loop.
